21/5/2007 06:58 | sheeneqa Just out of interest, which bit of that do you consider to be a "desperate measure"? | solotrom
21/5/2007 06:11 | Ebt Mobile China AGM Statement RNS Number:9160W EBT Mobile China PLC 21 May 2007 For immediate release 21 May 2007 EBT Mobile China PLC ("EBT Mobile" or the "Company") AGM Statement At today's annual general meeting, Mr James Reiman, Chairman, will make the following statement. "I am pleased with the progress that EBT Mobile China is making. Last year we completed laying down the foundations to support the rapid expansion of our retail store network and began the aggressive build-out of that network, doubling the number of stores over the period. 2007 has started at an equally fast pace: * Since January 1, we have opened 49 stores, an increase of 25% * In January, we successfully raised #7.5m to finance an accelerated roll out of our business expansion. * We have expanded and entrenched our already strong relationship with China Mobile, China's dominant mobile service provider. * We have signed an important agreement with Motorola to open joint branded kiosks and stores. * We have acquired a small Shanghai based retailer with excellent locations and a successful handset repair business, which we intend to expand. * And, finally, we've adjusted our internal systems and procedures in order to enhance margins and profits, and these new systems are starting to show positive results. "The Board continues to believe that EBT is very well placed to deliver on our plan for growth and earnings by leveraging our existing and growing retail distribution platform and our strong relationships with retailers, leading service providers, and handset manufacturers. We remain confident of delivering our expected performance for 2007." Desperate measures to stop the slide! | sheeneqa

20/5/2007 13:39 | I think now is the best time to start investing in this one. i think mobile phones will always be in demand this part of the world, because in the east, folks have always loved there electronic gadgets. soon you will be able to do everything with a phone, they are coming more and more advanced, as the years go by. EBT are rapidly expanding, and look in a great position to benefit to get a chunk of this huge up-coming demand. i see £3 plus, over a five year period. The number of Chinese mobile users exceeded 480 million by the end of March, with 6.5 million new subscribers added every month | igoe104
19/5/2007 18:32 | I'm not invested here yet but have been tracking this for awhile since I believe that it could have great potential. The connection with China Mobile is also very positive and could be a valuable partnership going forward. They blotted their copybook a little when they published their results last month reporting a £1.3m loss on sales of £32.4m after broker Evolution had previously forecasted an £850K loss on the same sales volume. It looks as though gross profit margins of only 11% were the main culprits here. I think that is the main factor in the share prices falling back from 32p to 26p over the past 6 weeks and the directors sale (even though it is not a significant amount) is therefore not well timed. I expect to invest here - it's just an issue of trying to get the timing right. Would therefore be interested to see your chart as another factor in the equation. | masurenguy
19/5/2007 18:19 | What are your thoughts? I like the look of the company and thinking of buying but just not sure looking at the charts | wakeytom
19/5/2007 18:12 | I will try to overlay it, apart from the recent obvious spike the holding point does appear to be lowing over the last 12m | wakeytom
19/5/2007 18:09 | The director concerned has disposed of 100K share options plus 10% of his prior holding - hardly the sign of someone bailing out ! Be interested to see the chart that you are referring to above - can you post it in order to illustrate your point ? | masurenguy
19/5/2007 17:55 | Well looking at the chart this share is only going in one direction and I think the director is selling as he sees it too and doesnt want to lose all his pot IMHO | wakeytom
19/5/2007 17:49 | PROBABLY needs funds, for personel reasons. maybe he has an expensive bit on the side. | igoe104
19/5/2007 17:44 | Why is the director selling? | relishing
19/5/2007 17:31 | The signs are looking good for massive growth. | igoe104
18/5/2007 17:00 | Bearing in mind the very small volume of shares in free float, it may be a good tactic for the directors to sell a few to satisfy demand from institutions, e.g. Audley. | silverthread
18/5/2007 14:58 | I expect Audley bought them! | beaufort1
18/5/2007 14:38 | Nice. Everyone over. Stick today's RNS up for good measure. | britishbear
18/5/2007 14:12 | YEP HOPEFULLY, now thats cleared the share price can push up over 30p again. if your patient, you will well rewarded with this one. | igoe104
18/5/2007 13:56 | One can understand the CEO taking a nice little earner by selling his options, but to then sell 800k on top is not exactly cofidence building. I suspect Audley will not be pleased. The share price is up a mite on the IC reiterating its 'buy' stance. | azalea
18/5/2007 13:46 | So he's sold just over 10% and retains just under 90% of his oroginal holding - Not exactly bailing out is he ? | flashheart

18/5/2007 13:29 | Cheers igoe104 - new thread overdue ! RNS on director sale of 900,000 shares over the past couple of days explains recent price weakness. | masurenguy
18/5/2007 12:56 | JUST STARTED A NEW THREAD. I,LL ADD TO IT AND KEEP IT UPDATED. | igoe104
