Sold out of these today for a 3 month 50% gain. What's rare is wonder full!
Will revisit when they return to the market to raise money

Things are really starting to happen now. If it falls back to say 75p during the year (and profits from the new sites are realistically four years away) then I will buy back in. It is good to see what they are doing but my back of the envelope calculation indicates if they keep going like this and I think they should that a fund raise wil be necessary during 2017

more good news with the liverpool grant of permission. This Liverpool purchase was a steal and I certainly could not replicate the proposed return. Hopefully one of many to come

Very positive response in the share price to the new ceos statement. He has got quite a recipe and the people (cfo project manager) etc to boil it up

I read the results with interest. Per the IPO, each franchise has a minimum fee per annum of £100k, so lots of growth here as the momentum builds and potential franchisees see the benefits from being part of the brand.

I didn't have the funds to get in at 63p annoyingly, but am hovering all over EZH like a hawk. Loads of potential, hope to get in asap.

If you look at my previous posts you will see that I thought their planned 15% roc great as I can't match it. Apparently I was right as they can't either according to that statement.
Overall good results with a great future positivity however I was surprised at how slow Liverpool and Manchester are

Results out this week> I would be interested to see what they are doing in Liverpool and Manchester as I went to look at the planning on one of them and the application had been withdrawn

What's with the wobble today?

Not yet invested, but bloody close to doing so.

Not sure I like the idea of a hotel in Brussels though...

They still have a lot of cash to spend on new stuff. If they can achieve the types of return on their investments as they say they will on the last two properties they bought then this will be a very good long term hold

easyHotel plc

Year End Trading Update and easyHotel Brussels development

easyHotel plc ("easyHotel" or the "Company") (AIM:EZH), the owner, developer, operator and franchisor of "super budget" branded hotels, today announces a trading update for the financial year ended 30 September 2015.

Trading for the year ended 30 September 2015 was in line with the Board's expectations.

The Group has benefited from full year contributions from Glasgow, the expanded capacity at Old Street in London and the opening of Croydon. This, together with the openings of franchisee hotels in Frankfurt and Prague, has resulted in revenue for the year ended 30 September 2015 being materially ahead of the prior year. The Board expects to report underlying trading EBITDA (before certain one-off items) of approximately GBP1.4 - GBP1.5 million for the year. Reported EBITDA is likely to be impacted by a number of one-off items, in particular, costs related to the previously announced management changes as well as income related to the termination of the South African franchise.

The Board is pleased with the recent acquisitions of properties in Liverpool and Manchester and after reviewing the projects it now anticipates the likely opening of both hotels will be in late 2016, subject to receiving planning permission.

The Group's balance sheet remains robust with net cash as at 30 September 2015 of approximately GBP22 million, including the security deposit referred to below.

With respect to the financing of the development of a 107-room easyHotel in Brussels the project will be either purchased by the Group's Benelux franchisee, with the subsequent release of the Group's EUR3.3 million security deposit, or easyHotel will complete the development as a directly owned and managed hotel, for a total investment cost of approximately EUR9.4 million by the end of October 2015. Whether the project is a franchised or owned hotel, this new hotel, which is located within five minutes' walk of the central Grand Place, is expected to be opened by early 2017. It will be a great addition to easyHotel network and will be the first easyHotel in Belgium.

Guy Parsons, Chief Executive, said:

"In the two months I have been with the Group I am pleased with its progress and direction of travel. Whilst the strategy is sound, I am currently having a hard look at how we can accelerate the growth of both the owned and franchised hotels as well as how we can improve the Group's core operational disciplines. A further update will be provided with our results in December."

The Company expects to report its audited results for the year ended 30 September 2015 on Wednesday 9 December 2015.

tommo1999 - I think the comparison with budget airlines is misguided. People don't care too much about airline travel as it is a means to an end. They would rather spend more on a better hotel.

However, in staying at a hotel I think people who aren't just looking for a bed want something at least a bit nice. The budget chains Premier Inn and Travel Lodge have done very well. But they aren't as no thrills as easyHotel. I haven't stayed at easyHotel but the thought of doing so fills me with dread. The reviews on tripadvisor aren't great.

I could be wrong and easyHotel could do well but at this stage the valuation of the listed entity seems to high and it is at too much of an early stage. Better stocks in the hotel space such as PPHE Hotel Group.

I see what you are saying . but it is nice and clean and basic just like travellodge ,I would use them if I was working away too it would save me a fortune.they are not in the league of the hilton etc . but think back ten years when budget airlines arrived they where not compition for British airways and emerites first class passengers but now dominate a large percentage of the sector .and then there is aldi love them or hate them but there market share is growing . I see no reason why budget hotels will not in fact travel lodge has all ready proves that . Have you tryed easy hotel yourself ?
