11/2/2015 16:16 | We must be getting close to the end of the Schroder selling, a placing of the final 2 or 3 million must be near. | ![]() spooky
09/2/2015 13:03 | i've continued to add here too. these are very simple metrics but according to digital look forecast figs RGM per 14.4 UKM per 17.1 DX. per 7.8 i appreciate the need for further detail but on this basis alone, assuming the forecasts are reasonable, DX. looks very undervalued against it's peers despite perhaps slightly differing business models aimho. woody | ![]() woodcutter
05/2/2015 16:22 | Picked some of these up today after watching for a while. Value looks compelling, but is pretty unloved at the moment! | connor23
23/1/2015 16:09 | Hopefully we've timed it well, Woodcutter. The chart looks good to me with the downtrend now seemingly broken. | ![]() wirralowl
23/1/2015 12:06 | added again today. | ![]() woodcutter
22/1/2015 13:03 | Also added earlier this week, via a spreadbet. Lower fuel costs should be a nice tailwind for the company. | ![]() wirralowl

09/1/2015 14:42 | Has drop in diesel prices per litre been factored yet into transport cos like DX? ""Last December diesel prices fell 5.2p from 127.4 ppl to 122.2 ppl from November prices. The price difference between unleaded and diesel has increased to 5.9 ppl."" | ![]() petewy
09/1/2015 11:07 | Large O trade at 09:53. Appears to be a buy of 355,000 at 87p. That's some commitment. | ![]() speedsgh
07/1/2015 21:25 | Is this a dream come true for DX: they save a fortune on capex and eliminate a competitor in the same hit ? | ![]() coolen
06/1/2015 13:57 | Well, they've got some of it at least! I bet £1m buys you one hell of a cage.. | ![]() funkmasterp12
30/12/2014 15:26 | DX would be crazy to acquire City Link even if they were given it for nothing. However they may be able to pick up some good CL middle management and existing customer contracts as a result of the reduced capacity in the market. No position here yet but on my watchlist for 2015. | ![]() masurenguy
30/12/2014 11:12 | I thought that the talks fell through before Christmas. City Link has been a disaster waiting to happen and hasn't made a profit in 5+ years. It deserved to go bust for having the wrong business model. That is capitalism I'm afraid. Survival of the fittest. Of course, all a bit of a nightmare for their employees, but shouldn't really have been a massive surprise. Handled badly by the owners though to time the administration before they were paid in December. No doubt their hands were tied if all other outcomes had come to nothing. There may be an opportunity to buy some assets / customer contracts for DX. | ![]() topvest
29/12/2014 21:40 | DX in talks to buy City Link according to the news wires - interesting! | ![]() funkmasterp12
21/11/2014 08:39 | Although I am watching today's little bounce, this remains on my (DOWN) thread for now. | m.t.glass
20/11/2014 20:28 | More pap floated on the market Gone ex growth and i am still calling it down to 70p All bets to 40p on, if a profit warning | ![]() dlku
20/11/2014 20:27 | I've been looking at this. My conclusion was that it looks a pretty sound business, but I decided not to invest. The issue as I see it is that all the profit and half the revenue is from the DX mail side (in decline) and none of the profit and half of the revenue is from the Neighfreight parcels business (growing but a turnaround). Doesn't bode well long term for profitability in my view although management are good and can probably restructure the business to keep things flat for a few years. Downside risk looks higher than upside risk in a very competitive parcels market. That said, could become a value play the way the share price is dropping. | ![]() topvest
20/11/2014 11:44 | Rapidly losing patience here it has to be said. Waiting on the next update but the constant erosion of the share price is an annoyance to say the least. Still holding as I can't see any reason for the fall other than sentiment & possibly selling out of boredom. The overall prospects still look good and I do believe this to be significantly undervalued. | ![]() funkmasterp12
17/11/2014 14:04 | Those who bought into the placing at 100p saw their holding drop into the red a month ago. And now a further 9% down. | m.t.glass
05/11/2014 16:10 | Interesting big discount to other sector folk :00 | ![]() solooiler
31/10/2014 12:27 | Fingers crossed, looks like it might have, Funkmaster. I also bought into these recently, on a day of large volume, though I didn't know the significance at the time, it looked like there had been some large buyers (£1.5m+ of the stock). On a forward PE of 8.6, a yield of 6.2% and negligible debt, they looked good value to me. I also feel the benefits of the lower oil price and subsequent savings on fuel throughout their businesses', has yet to be factored in to the share price | ![]() wirralowl
31/10/2014 10:51 | Looks like - finally - the overhang has cleared by Fidelity selling out. Very encouraged by Ruffer and H Hale taking the stock - two very established funds. I've added more this morning. Think the bottom may now at last be in. | ![]() funkmasterp12 |
