Plusses and minuses:

Their online shopping site is not bad (better than some). Majority of their shops (all currently shut down) are on out-of-town sites, so their ongoing overheads are presumably less onerous than those lumbered with High Street costs or reliant on shopping mall footfall.

Having dropped 8.25% on the day of that trading update (14 Jan) there has been no bounce. It has drifted a little lower since. If it slips below 1140 I imagine it will continue down further.

Stockopedia view is negative and "currently classifies Dunelm as a falling star" and simplywallstreet notes "we can't help but wonder why Dunelm Group saw little to no growth in the past five years", though their overall analysis is not negative.

MPs are considering a countrywide ban on click-and-collect services at non-essential shops, and some shops have ceased providing it. Dunelm for now have modified theirs so customers can stay in their cars. Personally I suspect MPs will shy away from imposing a total ban. But it would hurt Dunelm if I am wrong about that.

Dnlm could have reported practically anything imho and the share price would have dropped.
Sell on news seems the way BOTs work these days.

Even if they operate at a slight weekly loss (which they should have quantified) in Q3 and can resume normal operations in Q4 they shall still achieve consensus estimates for FY2021 given the outperformance in H1. The company also increased net cash position. However, a statement that sounds like a profit warning (when it's not) and a risk of further tightening of restrictions to include click and collect it is more than enough to set up a free fall. It stays a buy in my books and I have added here however, it is the sentiment that rules the roost and it could fall more before hopefully clawing its way back up. AIMHO, DYOR.

A few on my watch list that have been on the up have taken a hit on results day lately notably GAW so won't be surprised to see this one do the same.

Thanks Essential - useful site but apologies, by consensus I was looking for consensus revenue, PTP and eps forecasts rather than target prices.

Sorry slightly off topic but does anyone know a reliable place these days to get consensus forecasts? I usually use sharecast.com but they seem to have dropped off since the new year? Does Stockopedia have them?
