Finally bought a few DNE on Friday after the positive RNS. Bought a bit late in the day, but I'm expecting the resistance @ 380p to break, then on to 400p and later to 500p (or 500p equivalent net of tenders).

As a result there is outstanding some GBP13.9m for distribution to shareholders, representing GBP8.4m of capital and GBP5.5m of income. The Board accordingly has resolved to pay GBP4.3m by way of a special dividend of 16p per share on 28 September 2012 to shareholders on the register at 7 September 2012. In addition the Board proposes to recommend a tender offer to shareholders for 5% of the issued share capital at a price of 500p per share. This would represent a discount to net asset value per share after payment of the dividend of 12%. The balance of the capital currently available to be returned may be used to fund share buy-backs in the coming months or will be otherwise returned to shareholders in due course in accordance with the distribution policy.

Jaws6 - the relevant stuff from today's RNS:

In view of this and other recent realisations, the Board intends to put proposals to shareholders for the distribution of relevant amounts in accordance with Dunedin Enterprise's distribution policy. These proposals will form part of the announcement of the Dunedin Enterprise interim results for the six month period ended 30 June 2012 which are expected to be released on or around 31 August 2012.

Yes jaws, will happily cash in 10% of my holding at £4.75 per share. Then take & reinvest the dividend on the other 90%, and await the next tender offer. Has to be better than keeping it under the mattress............


I wonder how many sharp investors bought some a while ago, when this tender offer was brought out. Quite a few, I would imagine.

Looks good till APRIL plus this bit is good from news

Shares successfully tendered pursuant to the Tender Offer will not qualify for the final dividend of 5.0p per Share for the year ended 31 December 2011, which will be paid, subject to Shareholder approval, on Friday, 25 May 2012 to Shareholders on the register at close of business on Friday, 4 May 2012.
