27/5/2022 12:50 | "The responses given have been addressed to the in individuals concerned." My post 742 was addressed to the writer of 741, it had nothing to do with you, paul (except that he was making a silly comment about you) never mind | zangdook
27/5/2022 09:53 | CEO Buying kind of says it all IMHO | senttothegallows
26/5/2022 22:15 | 7.9% will disappear pdq expect return to 40's on the run up to the dividend imho | senttothegallows
26/5/2022 20:46 | oooh they got it in: Accordingly, an application has been made for 57,142,858 New Ordinary Shares, representing the52,857,143Placing Shares and the4,285,715PrimaryB - erm anyone see about the 'extras' The Company also announces the issuance of a further 205,128 New Ordinary Shares in the Company in lieu of cash compensation due to Duke's Investment Committee. Application has been made for these New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Second Admission"), which is also expected to take place at 8.00 a.m. on 27 May 2022. Anyone care to explain | swiss paul
25/5/2022 16:32 | Zang playing the man - cheap shot there fella. The responses given have been addressed to the in individuals concerned. As an aside are you content with the lack of stewardship in the company. Quite amazes that the only NED that was appointed - was then brought in as a Director! So am assuming you see value in my posts - or is is to difficult to find the ignore button (yes a cheap shot - but it made i larf!) That placing price -its getting very close eh! You can always vote against it tomorrrow! | swiss paul
25/5/2022 14:06 | xd 14 June yield 7.9% so that's 2% in the bag in just 3 wks time | bountyhunter
25/5/2022 09:47 | swiss paul How have you managed to get through life assuming that everything anyone says to anyone is actually addressed to you, even when a moment's reflection would show you it is not? Is it a sort of mental illness? | zangdook
24/5/2022 20:22 | Yes definitely take it all day long. It won't stay around here for long imho | senttothegallows
24/5/2022 20:16 | Melody what are you on about - we are all losing out - if your happy to keep accepting mediocre then knock yourself out. Can i remind you: "Poor timing. If they wanted to raise more money, they should have gone at 42p when they were trading at 47p" Of course the BOD are upbeat - how else would they have got the placing away. Show me a BOD that is not upbeat. As an aside how are they being challenged by their NEDS? Or are you happy for the BOD to do the following: The Company’s audit committee comprises Matthew Wrigley (Chairman), Nigel Birrell and Mark Le Tissier The Company’s remuneration committee comprises Nigel Birrell, Mark Le Tissier and Matthew Wrigley. Hmmm same names - just move them around. Nominations Committee No formal committee, the full board consider and manage these responsibilities in line with the Company’s admission document and articles. Gallows 8% yield on a dropped price - you take it cowboy. Zang Am ok on mixed opinions - obviously your not - that's why I come on here to give a contrarian view. If you don't want it - hit the ignore button. Putting money on horses - what a thick statement. I weep. | swiss paul
24/5/2022 11:47 | Getting close to an 8% yield at current dividend rate looks cheap to me IMHO | senttothegallows
23/5/2022 19:20 | Hmmmm....15% down on these at the moment.....hope share price momentum and increase in dividends gets me to parity and beyond! | bothdavis
22/5/2022 02:24 | You're unhappy about mixed opinions on stock market discussion boards, why not put your money on the horses instead? | zangdook
21/5/2022 17:59 | Swiss Paul - If you are still invested in DUKE, then all your negative posting means you are the one that loses out. why not go somewhere else and post positive comments about a share you do like? the BOD are upbeat about prospects, so they have put money in. you are downbeat so take your money out. | melody9999
17/5/2022 18:13 | Sounds like sour grapes to me rather than anything of substance. Of course the price has dropped back a bit for now as is normal immediately following discounted placings but it has not drifted lower than the placing price. | bountyhunter
17/5/2022 13:23 | Yes they subscribed to a discounted price and loaded up as much as they could. What about those shareholders who subscribed and did not get what they wanted. I did not go for the placing as the price will and has drifted lower. As for the 'associates' its chump change. | swiss paul
16/5/2022 16:59 | Management and associates subscribed for 1.5m shares in the recent placing which I don't think they would have done if they didn't believe that this company had good prospects, and they should know rather than an anonymous poster on a bulletin board making unsubstantiated random de-ramping posts having missed the PB opportunity. | bountyhunter
16/5/2022 13:00 | No - I want to make this uncomfortable for them as I can (they do read the boards you know). Also if enough of us vote at the AGm we can change things - after all we do own the company! | swiss paul
14/5/2022 22:43 | swiss paul - you should sell out. No point holding anything where you clearly do not trust the management. | melody9999
12/5/2022 22:29 | I cannot believe that individual and business investors would invest here if that were the case. | bothdavis
12/5/2022 08:48 | So in reality they have used the old FDP trick. Raise money to pay for the dividend. Cheers Suckers | swiss paul
11/5/2022 21:48 | If they are in scaling up mode, then they should only be paying a nominal dividend (1-2%).Ridiculous to be paying out 7% and then continually tapping shareholders for more funds (and constantly knocking the share price as a result). Glad I got out of these a few days ago before this latest raise was announced and don't intend to come back any time soon. | riverman77
11/5/2022 20:40 | I agree. It would look healthier all round with a more modest dividend | martinc
11/5/2022 14:52 | This business needs to scale to prove the model in Europe. Needs to be big enough to soak up the occasional Rhine cruiseboat problem. Plus the faster the grow the more they become the market leader in Europe. | igbertsponk
11/5/2022 14:16 | Wouldn't they be better to pay a smaller dividend and grow organically. | waterfall city |
