Getting them passed is another matter.

geck i dont thing uk will have those power and gas problems this winter (not everything on bbc is the truth) if the powers that be are happy to export power to the french for the first time i can think off in these spring/summer months, new big windfarm going online also. Drax scottish project is a kind of storage for electric. |

UK won't have blackout UK electric usage is well down and people will now use less as costs, it's the EU reliance on Russian gas that the lights will go out begging the UK to put our gas power stations on and supply them which is what's happening at moment. France,Germany and certainly italy all net importers of electricity. |

We've been giving £20bn gross to EU for decades, and £15bn annually in foreign aid...
And we don't have any storage capacity so we're going to have black outs in Winter!!

Heres an idea, make a hole in a massive mountain to make a reservoir, pump water into that when the eco windmills are turning and the sun is shining on the PVs - then, at night you let the water out through hydro generator to use the stored power. Bet the company that comes up with that would be worth buying into... |
