The adrenaline rush brigade are not interested in larger steadily growing companies like DOM. However, I bet long term DOM will have provided much greater returns than some of the fashionable tiddlers. Fantastic update that indicates an even greater rate of growth towards the year end. As with most of the retail sector, on-line sales exhibit considerable and profitable growth. It will be interesting to see how large the EPS figure is in February's finals - I am expecting a considerable hike in the dividend again - maybe also another buyback of 3-5% of the shares. Sitting tight.

It often amuses me that companies like this have so few posts on their threads when some very unexciting tiddlers can have thousands.

I cannot imagine anyone shorting this. With the tender offer closing an hour ago and the result and share cancellation tomorrow, combined with the usual run up in DOM's share price to the finals, the best position is to be long IMHO.

Any price below 542p seems to be a good adding opportunity given 555p is the target buy back price.
