On the other hand, house prices will go up because estate agents and vendors will simply add the known stamp duty saving (or a large part of it) onto their sale price expectations.

Good point, there was a guy on Wake Up To Money who was going to sp*nk the grand he saved on stamp duty on a holiday (same principle, same mentality)

Just a feeling but the reduction in stamp duty on houses may bring some extra money dixons way in the new year. We all know people like to move house in the new year. Would like to think the extra cash would be spent kitting out the new pad out with tv's, kitchen appliances etc. Just a thought.

I too would be surprised if the share price doesn't fall back on or before the interims. Would have to come out with something special to surprise on the upside after the current fantastic run. This does seem to be very much a 'sell on the news' market atm.

I have a feeling they are gonna have a very good peak think they have milked the Black Friday effect for as much as possible( aside of the website fiasco)Sale will be awesome that's more or less a given.Questions are margins and how much will be in the price by the time they update.Would certainly be cautious if share price is strong in run up previous experience has shown that even with good results the price can pullback and early year is dire for their market.

3 Stocks Set For Explosive Growth In 2015: Barclays PLC, International Consolidated Airlines Grp And Dixons Carphone PLC

Dixons Carphone
Electricals giant Dixons Carphone (LSE: DC), forged through the alliance of Dixons Retail and Carphone Warehouse in the summer, is poised to benefit from its considerable exposure across the UK and Europe. While steady goods demand is anticipated to underpin solid revenues growth in the medium term, the firm — whose brands include Currys and PC World — has identified bolt-on purchases such as installation and warranties as the key to red-hot earnings growth.

City analysts expect the business to punch growth of 23% in the 12 months to April 2015, to 21.4p per share and creating a P/E reading of 20 times earnings. Although this may not appear appetising at first glance, further growth of 21% in fiscal 2016 drives this to a much more appetising just 16.5 times.

And while these figures may not blow your socks off, PEG figures of 0.9 and 0.8 for 2015 and 2016 respectively illustrate the company’s terrific value relative to its growth prospects.

Am not an IT expert by any means but would not have thought it would be that difficult to have extra server capacity available on standby if needed.Maybe they should have a word with Amazon no problems there .

I was aware of that but assumed they would have put in place some measures overnight to correct the problem. Theres just no excuse for something like this happening on the busiest days
