Yes, my lowest buying price was 22.72p, approximately. Nice to see these finally hit pounds 4. Worth the wait. Now I must go and delete dc. in the forum alerts otherwise I keep getting them.

You'll enjoy Southsea if you've not been there before. Make sure you visit the Dockyard, Mary Rose museum, HMS Victory and loads of other stuff on that site. Gunwharf Quays, the Spinnaker Tower and a walk round Old Portsmouth is also a must.

mikepompeyfan, I am doing rather well this year with 100% of both home and away. Will probably be looking to spend a couple of days in Pompey when we play there: both clubs with such good support deserve at least a league higher.

hatter l see that game is on Sunday 28th Dec. Shame as that will limit the number going. I have been to Kenilworth Rd before but won't bother on a Sunday between Christmas and the New Year. Been to Oxford, Chester and Shrewsbury so far this season.

Thanks for the link mikepompey fan (look forward to seeing your away following at the Kenny).
Certainly the combined business is performing better than I had anticipated and looks like there is more to come.

“Electricals retailers Carphone Warehouse and Dixons merged to form Dixons Carphone (DC.). We believe the merger creates exciting opportunities to boost earnings from the combined business, such as from the convergence of mobile, fixed-line telephony, broadband and media offerings.” - See more at:

Don't get me wrong still thing there are plenty of positives.

Just think the arty add just like the star wars one a few years ago are an expensive luxury.

I just think the story/strategy here makes sense.

The market clearly thinks so too.

Plus the new enlarged DC are very well placed to have a good Christmas.

The arty adds are good BUT they are more about image than driving punters instore short term which is what you need this time of year imo.

They should be 100% focusing on product prices and the opportunity's for buyers to see and "play with" product something they don't get on the net.

Poor choice imo.

It's been very clever to stay here Gerd and hopefully even cleverer to remain for the next few years or so. Can't wait to see the full merger benefits slowly (or even better quickly) emerging. This board is so quiet too. Perhaps it will be time to sell when it gets extremely busy again. ;-)

Is that nearly 62p back in the good old days?

I must be going senile as I have have just held on to these instead of all that rushing around buying and selling every five minutes.

Much more peaceful, much more relaxing but I just don't feel as clever.

Over a week old never the less bodes well for DC

Richer Sounds like-for-like sales have edged up and helped the company record the highest operating profit in its 36-year history.

I would like to see 100p in old money (around 650p)

I think that a big push from here makes sense.

There was frequently a seasonal surge in DXNS stock around this time a of year in the lead up to Christmas.

And this year there is more reason than ever to expect a seasonal surge in the stock as DC consolidate their super-dominant position in UK electricals.

The new store in store formats (Carphone in a CurrysPCworld) will surely be a 'go to' destination for the Christmas shopper this year.
