Shorts were above 9% not that long ago, now down to sub 1%
Arrowstreet increased on the 6th March and then a week later reduce. Just a bunch of chancers trying it on. I don't think many of the short positions actually made money, they lost money on this.
Looks like some tentative support here now that the deal is done and results are out. |
Watch the presentation. Only 3% of the 10% buy back allocation has been used so far. Free cash flow comfortably covers the 9% dividend. |
Yep, now that the uncertainty created by the latest acquisition is now out of the way and the latest results demonstrate that DEC continues to hit their high cash margin and can manage their debt hopefully the share price will continue to improve past the £14 mark. Onwards and upwards! |
Amazing how this motored today on relatively low volumes. Looking up! |
Where's the dictator today? Mute. Silenced. |
10% decline rate confirmed, EBITDA margin 51%. This is a very stable business generating reliable cash flow through the hedging policy. The only downside I could find was (due to Maverick purchase) the debt multiple was now 2.9x compared to a target of 2.0-2.5x. I'm sure Rusty has a plan to sort that little fly out. |
Just one shorter left and they reduced last Friday: |
"Recommend a final quarterly dividend of $0.29 per share"
I'll pencil that in to the header albeit the dates haven't yet been confirmed but probably in line with last year. |
Cant say I understand their accounts but the market certainly seems happy!!!! |
Apart from Musk lol 😉 But Trump more than counterbalances that with his 'drill baby drill'! |
first glance
- fixed divi stressed again - good margins maintained - good quantities produced - superb cash generation
as long as they keep the superb margins and keep growing at such margins with the cost of capital being significantly lower .... it makes sense .... as long as they can operationally keep up with the growth. some pause would be wellcome. presentation p6 - summit enables the access via new pipeline to the better pricing - smart move
huge margin of safety regarding low decline rate and undeveloped area and high operating margin and low capex needed - compared to all the rest
without geological risk
lol lol |
Final results are out! |
Sheedy and all his usernames been very quiet here of late. Just like he was in RR when that rallied hard Absolute loser |
A dividend rise would certainly confound the sceptics but I'm not expecting that given the current yield of 9.8%. For me a strong outlook is key and I would like to see some new hedges locking in the higher gas price. |
It needs a very strong update today, hopefully a little rise in the dividend |
17-Mar-2025 Diversified Energy DEC FINAL RESULTS |
Yes I agree. Completion of the Maverick deal could be a turning point, especially if the wider markets continue Friday's recovery. Good to see another quarterly divi in the bag; yield is just under 10%. |
Cheers Tag |
TGM, with 80% of supply pricing fixed going out for the next few years and therefore only 20% of volumes exposed to current market rates the outlook should be relatively stable for DEC, this is just not reflected in the share price which in my opinion should be much more stable than actual share price volatility suggests. The fly in the ointment is the constant M&A by Rusty with the on going periodic dilution of ownership and increasing debt to fund acquisitions. I would personally prefer management to now concentrate on the assets they have and take a breather on M&A, while they pay down debt, drive efficiencies, build shareholder confidence in their operational methodology. |
I haven't been in DEC for a few years, what's the near term outlook i? I'm thinking with the macro LNG demand starting to ramp up now's a good time to look again at this company as a safe-ish place to park some cash against a bullish natural gas background |
Good to see the Maverick deal complete. I think there was some uncertainty around this. They issued the same number of shares despite the drop in the share price. |
4 weeks ago the price was 1335p and US Natural gas prices have remained firm. Suspect majority of falls down to momentum trading. I therefore expect DEC Will retrace the majority of the decline. |
How do you figure that 12 is coming? |
Looks like post Ex Dividend low is in. Good chance of getting a rise to £12 during next few weeks. |
