How is 110p to 117p anywhere near a 19.9% discount?

The RNS - up to 19.9% discount of the current market price - depending on the uptake - hopefully over subscribed LTH"Together, the total number of Placing Shares and Retail Offer Shares (together, the "Fundraising Shares") will not exceed 19.99 per cent. of the Company's existing ordinary share capital."

b1nky - I'm already signed up to PrimaryBid and receive emails for upcoming offers. The price range was included in the email.

My order is in! Just a small one to test out PrimaryBid.

Nice to see a main market company looking after retail investors. Well done to our American friends!

3.5x EBITDA before synergies and decent reserves. Looks to be a keen price.

Details of the Retail OfferThe Company values its retail investor base and is therefore pleased to provide private and other investors the opportunity to participate in the Retail Offer by applying exclusively through the PrimaryBid mobile app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. PrimaryBid does not charge investors any commission for this service

Primary Bid seems to be the new fashion nowadays. Does seem to be a stab in the dark though as there is no price given for the subscription until you have agreed to buy in the fundraise! I agree though, that it looks good going forward as it is earnings enhancing.

EDIT: And no stamp duty for participants! (he says, tongue in cheek).

Well that's a bit different. A placing with retail participation.

Second deal hot on the heels of the first. Hopefully only a small discount to closing share price for the placing. Earnings enhancing immediately which should translate to dividend enhancing in time. Would put money on there being another deal by the end of June as they seem to want to raise more than they need for this deal to boost their cash resources for the many opportunities that there appears to be.

"Foreign securities are therefore not exempted from stamp duty but in practice an instrument to transfer them would usually be executed and kept outside the UK and therefore not require stamping."

So, depending on how your broker does things and where your nominee is located, you may, or may not, be liable to Stamp Duty. Clear as mud!

I was going to do the same thing so let us know how you get on. I have checdked back and all my previous buys were with SAGA and without stamp duty, but this was before the 250 listing and my shares being transferred to EQI

Thanks for the correction podgyted. I just thought the company must have previously been listed on AIM and then had moved to the main market. I have been looking through my contract notes and haven't been charged stamp duty with ii but have with EQi. I am going to contact EQi to ask for an explanation but somehow I don’t think I am going to get very far getting the £400 I have been charged refunded.

Yes lab305 i have just been caught on that one, the Dec. divi. deducted 15% and the Mar. divi 30%, evidently the IRS form i filled in in Oct. last expired at end of Dec.
the broker did not inform me that i had to fill in a new one.

Never mind this discussion, just wait for the withholding tax one. I've had it for three years ! Perhaps there should be a separate thread just for that.
