24/1/2024 08:16 | Lab305, LLB still has a genuine point though. Surely you value your time and can put it to better use? Any long time readers of this BB know how you feel about the hedging and buybacks of DEC. | tag57
24/1/2024 08:14 | Plus a take over or assets buy | kaos3
24/1/2024 08:13 | But surely, once a messenger delivers a message, his/her job is done It doesn't need a facsimile on a frequent basis. | spangle93
24/1/2024 08:13 | This will close around 10 pounds today. If it doesn't i will buy the twins a hair cut each | leoneobull
24/1/2024 08:10 | Results plus dividend plus buybacks. 3 risks for shorters. Expect closing | leoneobull
24/1/2024 08:09 | LLB I was posting negative content when I held over a million of Dec shares up to six months ago. Shooting the messenger is not the answer. | lab305
24/1/2024 08:08 | Important to note that the share price recovered furiously in NY without any buyback yesterday | topazfrenzy
24/1/2024 08:05 | One thing is for sure, the DEC management is not going to lie down and take all the lies ... for investors this must now represent the best income play in a decade for those willing to live through the garbage that is being thrown at the company | topazfrenzy
24/1/2024 08:05 | Their previous three attempts with other companies failed - see Oak Blokes latest article - link in header. US investors are clearly not so easily duped. | bountyhunter
24/1/2024 08:03 | The opportunist twins are going to get frizzled. They thought they could ride the wave of false information but investors across the pond had other plans for them. From 19% down yesterday to close very close to where it started ... lol | topazfrenzy
24/1/2024 08:03 | Sb - I would agree that some buybacks at this level would be a good idea with the dividend maintained. | bountyhunter
24/1/2024 08:01 | #lab305, you have sold out right..? why do you continue to invest time and mental energy posting negative content about a company you do not believe in..? Is time not better spent finding positives in companies you want to hold, do hold and do have confidence in..? Investing in equities is difficult enough without constantly beating yourself up over what you perceive to be mistakes made.. Another day of the bull/bear fight here.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
24/1/2024 08:01 | I can not see any value better than their own shares for their cash atm Aquisition talks must be almost finished so they can not get out. And use the liquidity on better value - their own shares .... which is my pure speculation News soon. On aquisition | kaos3
24/1/2024 07:59 | Let the shorts burn GLA | taffevans
24/1/2024 07:57 | As per nigelpm on other bb, likely they are eyeing another acquisition having increased liquidity with January 2nd deal. Also when Rusty rang bell nyse he talked of m and a in 2024 | leoneobull

24/1/2024 07:52 | RE: buyback - my sense is they are probably eyeing up another acquisition. | nigelpm
24/1/2024 07:52 | The only remaining q to me is Why buy back stopped if all ok | kaos3
24/1/2024 07:51 | Less than a week to go until results which begs the question: Why would anyone buy now when so much discussion surrounds the company about its ability to continue when if one waits a week there will be more clarity. Strange folk out there. Arent there Topaz? | whites123
24/1/2024 07:51 | The buyback was already announced they can be bought back a day before update if they want. | sbb1x
24/1/2024 07:49 | I understand that there is a closed period of 30 days before Co, announces result - if so DEC bought on the 17 Jan 2024 and stated update result would be out by 31 Jan 2024 , then this DEC has broken the LSE rules of 30 days .!! | stevensupertrader
24/1/2024 07:49 | Numerous inaccuracies, but they DIDNT say there were lies. Cleverly worded. I dont understand why people wouldnt wait until after thye results to decide whether to buy. Its less than a week away. | whites123
24/1/2024 07:48 | lol..sure. | tsmith2
24/1/2024 07:48 | Dec is increasingly looking like the boy who cried wolf. Their "model" is extremely complex , so much so that producing gas has become secondary to the running of complex financial derivative instruments. The accounts are certainly not transparent or easily understandable and assessing the company's performance on traditional metrics of making a profit, pe and yield we are told is wrong and free cash flow is what matters. Many here are defending the company and it's actions simply because they are holders. Is the company to be believed and trusted or not ? The buyback situation conclusively proves not. We are supposed to be amid a second buyback program. The first lasted just 28 days and was abruptly stopped with no explanation . This second one is even worse , inconsistent , infrequent and haphazard. There is no grey area here or excuse acceptable. The company has opened the door wide to short sellers and it's credibility is in tatters. If it cannot be trusted on this why should investors believe anything else it says? | lab305 |
