28/6/2023 10:33 | @CopandRobber - which is what the company has said. | johnhemming
28/6/2023 09:48 | This is heading towards a dual listing in the USA | copandrobber
28/6/2023 09:35 | Maybe someone should Email the management to advise them to halt the buybacks and refrain from any value enhancing deals until The gap is filled. A breakaway gap from such a large discount to the recent placing just wouldn't be fair on punters waiting to close shorts and/or buy even cheaper! 😁 | fordtin
28/6/2023 08:16 | Well....these RNS have got the share price off to a good start.....but there is a gap. | 11_percent
28/6/2023 08:03 | 100,000 shares a day would take four years to buy back 97 million. | 2wild
28/6/2023 08:00 | $40m on balance sheet for non core!! And Share Buy back off to a solid start!! Going to enjoy my 16% dividend!! | copandrobber
28/6/2023 07:25 | RNS - Divestiture of non-core assets. | eeza
28/6/2023 07:04 | I see the buyback has begun, 100,000 yesterday so that should put a floor under the share price for us and let a few holders out who want to sell up and move on if the dividend is not good enough, although why not is a bit of a mystery.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
27/6/2023 22:22 | I'd nearly be breaking even at £1! ;0) Still, the dividends are somewhat of a compensation in the meantime... Oil back under pressure today, WTI -2.1%. | cassini
27/6/2023 21:50 | assuming they are buying over 12 to 24 months they are assuming an average of £1 per share if they get away with less then so much the better for SH/s | fred177
27/6/2023 17:12 | Ok thanks. So it's just a weird coincidence that they've allocated £97.4 million in value and up to 97.4 million shares in number?! I'm not sure I believe in coincidences that unlikely! I thought perhaps they were implying a price target of £1? | spawny100
27/6/2023 16:51 | Spawny100.It's usually 10% of shares with authority given at AGM and renewable each AGM .It's also usually a capital amount - £97.4m is close to $125m give or take some fees | croasdalelfc
27/6/2023 15:48 | Increased my holding today, still underwater by 15%. GLA, DYOR, NAI etc | loafingchard
27/6/2023 13:51 | With interactive investor No formvrequired for withholding tax free investments in a SIPP. They definitely do not. I gregate any limit orders and I use them a lot. | 2wild
27/6/2023 10:50 | T34. I have two main issues. First, their limit orders are not really limit orders. What I think they do is bundle orders from clients (the smaller the order the better from their perspective) and execute an aggregate trade to satisfy all. But it means that often you will not have your limit order filled often despite the bid/ask trading above/below your set price by a comfortable margin and/or a long period of time, Second, if you buy, sell and then buy back shares, they have a completely illogical and incorrect way of showing your invested funds because they are wedded to an average price calculation that includes shares that you no longer hold. It means you will see a cost figure that can be incorrectly lower or higher depending on whether you added above or below your previous average. So, you actually have to go to the trouble of running your own spreadsheet (which I do anyway) to know what your true current investment is and you cannot rely on the numbers they show you. As an example, suppose you have 50,000 shares at £1. You sell 25,000. So you are left with 25,000 shares at £1 average. You then buy another 6,250 shares at £0.80 (ignore tax/commissions) - you added another £5,000 worth. So, you now have 31,250 shares at a cost of £30,000. However, HL will display it as you having 31,250 shares at a cost of £29,333. | stronghands
27/6/2023 10:39 | I'm not sure if it's usual to announce a limit to both number of shares and the capital allocated is it? Why not just limit the amount of capital rather than number of shares? That way they can buy back more than the 94 million shares if the price stays at these levels. Puzzled. | spawny100
27/6/2023 10:33 | Stronghands What issues you have with HL?? | t 34
27/6/2023 10:23 | You need it to trade it (from memory). | skinny
27/6/2023 10:18 | Do you need a W8BEN if inside a sipp? TIA | 1hercule
27/6/2023 10:13 | I am with Hargreaves Lansdown and have a W8BEN in place and they deduct the correct tax (15% outside a SIPP and 0% within). But I have a number of issues with HL and plan to explore migrating to another platform though I don't want to then find myself with new, potentially more serious complaints. So, if anyone has a good experience of another platform such as AJ Bell, I would be interested to hear. | stronghands
27/6/2023 10:01 | Our next dividend is due this week (30th June), the buy back whilst an interesting turn has not been initiated yet, hence the pull back.. We will see who gets what, and what providers / accounts deduct 15% / 30%, I will feedback on Barclays smart investor with an active W8 in place, to see if this is across the platform with trading/ISA/SIPP and if there are any ISA exemptions for the WHT.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
27/6/2023 09:51 | The sensible thing to have done would have been to wait for a week after next weeks divi and then announce the buyback!!!! | renewed1
27/6/2023 09:45 | 16 percent dividend at 85p | copandrobber
27/6/2023 08:53 | Added this morning on news of the buyback. Probably a little overweight on this share now so will pick up a dividend or two while waiting for (hopefully) the buyback and improving NG pricing to return price to over 100p (and then trim). | stronghands |
