Someone is scamming it......we keep making aquisitions....adding value to the company.....and it never shows in the market cap.

Anyway.......lets see if they take it down again.

They dont need to keep me in the loop...its bloody obvious.

We have:

Recent high: 144

Sitting at: 132.4

200 day MA: 114.76
100 day MA: 120.67
50 day MA: 121.64

RSI = 55

We were way too high at 144 and an RSI well over 70.

DEC plunges every so often....regular.....and goes under all 3 Moving Averages.

200 day = 114.76....that is a bit low.......buy we have the 50 day and 100 day at 120/121........and is due to go under them.

Until Blackrock and the other guys who are scamming this share stop doing it......we will repeat the patterns.

The 50 day and 100 day will move up....so....lets say share price going under 125p.

"DEC is a component of at least one oil and gas ETF. This means that it will move with oil price beta"

Rubbish.

Profit taking, some taking their divi 'early' and hoping to buy back after drop? Doesn't always work out that way though.

I doubt I will be waiting for anything like 120p, 11-percent. All too easy to miss the boat and end up chasing the price. In the meantime, I'm quite happy to stash away my huge quarterly divi. Another one in the bag tomorrow. Had some more this a.m. at just under 131p and will be adding more heavily under 127p after potential ex-divi drop tomorrow. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see a recovery in share price on ex-divi day - happened many times in the past.

131 is back on the rising trend line so I am rather hoping that it won’t sink much further - but the market does tend to over react in both directions so WTFDIK.

Sp is way too high compared with the moving averages......got to come back to 120p.

Ex divi date and few days after it would do the trick.

Large trades can be delayed in posting; there may be large orders on either side still being worked. Those 'buys' and 'sells' are guesstimates based on the spread and often wrong - even a small timer like me can buy at or near the offer and/or sell at or near the bid using direct market access (offered by some platforms). So second-guessing trades is a mugs' game (particularly in the short term). If everything was transparent, we'd all be gazillionaires!!

More knowledgable posters than I have pointed out that share trades recorded as “ buys “ or “ sells “ by LSE can be wrongly ascribed , so one shouldn’t rely too much on such “ information “ from LSE . However , the share price dropped today by 4.15% ( 5.8p ) , and yet LSE records more than three times as many “ buys “ ( 6,203,804 shares ) as “ sells “ ( 1,952,323 shares ) . Surely there cannot be such a huge misslocation by LSE . Can anyone supply a rational explanation to what appears to be totally irrational ?

On the flip side distributions are made gross from within the partnership so no double taxation; y%n? So maybe for UK holders outside a SIPP, the outcome is broadly similar (haven't done the arithmetic!)

The one MLP I invested in was in a SIPP, and the high tax was indeed applied there.

You can buy mlp funds such a MLPP which hold US mlp stocks.

Good luck with the tax returns if you invest in an MLP such as BSM:

Mattbuoy , do you know if this high tax rate is also the case if a MLP is held in a SIPP? I hold some CQP and have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get an answer from inv managers/SIPP admin.
Thanks
Sorry for off topic.

It won't be (can't be). I would guess it will be a 10 for 1 ADR, so as to have a price over $10. Or if they go for an actual listing then they will have to do a reverse split for the same reason.

Let's just hope that the company's desired U.S. listing isn't structured as an MLP.

BSM is a Royalty MLP (Master Limited Partnership). Unfortunately for us here in the UK the MLP structure means that the dividends (actually "distributions") attract very high rates tax e.g. 35%. This is even with a W8-BEN.

There may be other similar companies out there which are structured as corporations and therefore attract the standard 15% tax on their dividends.

On the YAV blog video BSM (Black Stone Minerals) was mentioned as a comparison to DEC. Decent growing divi at over 10% based on their latest divi payment. Just out of interest is anyone invested in BSM?
TIA

Shell boss believes gas shortages will last several winters (5-10 years)

Bullish marco backdrop for DEC - disaster for ordinary folk.
