Well done Haggis.
Your move was proved to be the right one.
As for the naysayers, I hope they joined in yesterday.
A 100% profit in 24hrs might sweeten them.

That would make your average circa 0.575p? Impressive.

Peter, well I am now showing a profit again, only 22.5%, but that's the benefit of averaging down when I did. A fair market cap for DIS is a lot higher than the current £4.96m, lets see something like £25m and then see where we go from there.

>Pope....... As for turnover, your guess is as good as anyone's at this stage, but simply multiplying Q1 by 4 implies at least 1.5 million pa and the xmas/new year quarter traditionally yields the greatest revenue. As I mentioned to the naysayers earlier this week, there are many new intiatives on the go this year and I believe the full year results should put us well back on course. We've taken the pain, now for the gain. pete

peter, absolutely! I did a huge average down not long ago and it's looking good for anyone that took the opportunity to do that, and for some with much higher averages that opportunity is still there, but reduces it's effect as the price rises, so if anyone misses that opportunity don't blame me, I just pointed it out.

That said, as Pete mentioned yesterday, if you buy now and get your timing right you'll probably make a nice profit. Personally I think the selling the brand ship has sailed.

It's a very good start Haggis. Still a long share price climb ahead of us, but it looks encouraging and as predicted anyone buying yesterday is already in profit. pete

So what would you expect full year revenues to be? 2 million with a bumper Xmas? Big improvement on last year but still below 2022. Still a wait and see here because I'm not convinced this will achieve the sales of a few years ago.

peter,

And there we go, the news that we were waiting for, that DIS has finally recovered from the change in distribution and is now on the way back up. I suspect the next trading update will provide the numbers. Currently still priced to fail, but that is not on the cards, not by a long way.

Ha, Ha, all the old unbelievers have suddenly popped out of the woodwork again!
They made a few bob by trading it in the past but they prefer to gloat over bad news.
As things begin improving over the next few months I guess they'll disappear again.
Many thanks for your well reasoned arguments guys.

Your views are as good as anyones and I haven't taken any offence but, if you don't believe in this company's future, why are you still here? As a long term holder, I have to admit that the last year has been disappointing, but we know the reasons for that and the proposed changes look sensible. FWIW, I have been in frequent contact with DG over the years. He knows exactly how I feel about progress and the lack of it. And he is just as frustrated that it has been such an uphill struggle. It's an extremely difficult sector for small fry, especially when competing with the likes of Diageo (where he came from) and Captain Morgan (which isn't even a legal rum). As for the future, there are so many good things lined up ahead for this financial year that I feel it must be worth hanging around to see how it plays out. There have been many ebbs and flows in the share price over the years and I have been in and out of profit several times. For those who don't have faith in the long term, there is always the option of a short/medium term punt. How could anyone possibly lose at 0.375p per share? Over the years, there have been many opportunities to trade this stock with worthwhile gains for the patient. Up to you guys. No-one is asking you to hang around. Regards, pete

If you don't see the companies mkt cap of just c.2.5M after 23 years of being a listed company - where the spoken aim of building valuable brands - as anything other than outright failure, then that is your issue.

peter.....understand that my frustration is not just with you, but FOR you.

As a shareholder you should be a lot more critical of the management here than you appear to be.

They have underdelivered and done an extremely poor job for investors.

And all the while they (Grain - a relative newcomer, excepted) have taken salaries and failed to personally invest in the company they are supposed to be building.

Chengha i agree and am tempted at these low levels to average down a bit as i am currently under water with these but think it will go private but at what price.

petersinthemarket - you're a tool, you really are.

How many years have you been posting on this company?

You have been consistently wrong and here you are, a decade on....

23 years and they've never exited on a brand or built much inherent value around any one of them.

And a Chairman who never buys stock.

And another director who could buy the company in an instant if he wanted.

When the distillery is completed my guess is that it will get taken private for peanuts.

Absolutely.

Management have failed.....writing has been on the wall for some time.

This has been listed for around 23 years and has never achieved anything in respect of its brands.

Just a handful of deluded posters remain.
