The JD Wetherspoon boost will not just be the increase in current sales, but the increase in brand awareness as the millions of customers are exposed (knowingly or unknowingly) to the RedLeg Rum bottles. It all helps on the path to getting RedLeg to be a household name - and a brand worth a fortune!

I bought a bottle of Redleg today, I don't usually drink. But it's good with Pepsi Max. Complete the virtuous circle, invest in the company, enjoy the product. And maybe I'll give away bottles to friends and family as presents to spread the word about it too.

Looks like not selling too badly in Waitrose. Must be ODR and his swapping 2 to 3 bottles on the shelves :)

Re: IMG, share price sank due to Apple's announcement that they will no longer use IMG's technology hence Apple will no longer pay royalties. IMG is disputing it but major shareholders dumped it before it was acknowledged by IMG.

bouycat, are you ignoring the MM's book?

The MM's have to hold a pot of the stock (their book) in order to qualify as an MM for the stock. Sells can go to the MM book without the MM having any buyer to pass the stock to. Likewise buys can be sold out of the book by the MM with no matched seller. Buy and sell volume increasing or decreasing the MM's book trigger price rises and falls, the MM can also do a tree shake if his book is getting low on stock.

Suggesting the MM is the other side of every deal would also be wrong, as the MM is impartial on the stock, they just hold a pot of stock to maintain liquidity in the stock. Buyers buying out of the pot and pushing the stock price up is bullish, because there is nobody with negative sentiment selling the stock to the buyer, as the MM is impartial whilst the buyer is obviously bullish.

Couldn't make a line of 3 today as only 2 bottles left .. I kid you not :o)

Not sure whether there's much point watching buys and sells. They have to match after all. IMG dropping 60% yesterday before any trades is a case in point...

I do giggle to myself when I go into Waitrose at Canary Wharf every day and manipulate the 2 lines of RedLeg into 3.

Must say though I can clearly see bottles are definitely being sold.
