We could/should lose 30p tomorrow but it will be worth it in the long run.

I usually find it most profitable to invest when there's a "lack of interest", but each to their own.

Hold a small amount, but due to lack of interest in DLG will not add pre-dividend, as am concerned about how the share price will react post ex-dividend !

OK, for the record, I've just had a few at 368....

XD on 5/4/18 for 28.6p. IF-and it is clearly a HUGE hostage to fortune-IF the brokers are correct in their consensus dividends for years ending 2018 and 2019 we should get in the region of 29p in each year. So taken together we should receive approximately 87p in dividends in just over 2 year's time. That's a whopping 24% of the current share price in that period alone.

Before anyone says it; I know these forecasts may turn out to be worth less than the electrons they are committed to and that, all other things being equal, the share price should decrease by the value of the dividends BUT it is till a prodigiously high return If it comes to pass.

Fingers crossed and all that......

Personal injury compensation reforms announced -

The Government is today introducing the Civil Liability Bill into the House of Lords to make important changes to the system of compensation for personal injury in England and Wales.

The Bill will reform the law of England and Wales relating to whiplash claims and the way in which the personal injury discount rate is set under the Damages Act 1996.

The principal changes in respect of the discount rate are that the rate will be set by reference to expected rates of return on a low risk diversified portfolio of investments rather than on very low risk investments as under the present law; in setting the rate, the Lord Chancellor will consult an independent expert panel chaired by the Government Actuary, with HM Treasury remaining a statutory consultee; and the discount rate will be reviewed promptly after the legislation comes into force and, thereafter, at least every three years.

The introduction of the legislation follows the conclusion of the Government's consideration of the report of the Justice Select Committee on the draft legislation published by the Ministry of Justice in September 2017. The Government's response to the Committee's report will also be published later today.

I have more than doubled the value of my entire portfolio in the last 3 years and 88% of my trades have been profitable - therefore I tend to back my own judgement. Can anyone find me an analyst that accurate?

Keep dreaming Linton5, if anything after todays superficial drop this will be well over 390 tomorrow. Just Dow Jones need to finish in blue. You got to be a fool not to snap this on the cheap. With over 9% divi yield, this is no brianer really :).

DLG goes ex divi on 05/04, 28.6p divi to be paid on 17th May, that combined with an interim divi of 6.8p means this hidden gem is currently yielding over 9.5%/year. What a beauty, it’s hard to find solid businesses like DLG with good divi yield of over 9% in the current climate. share price will do well over the coming weeks/months. SOLID BUY!!
