Started adding back speed. DLG tends to sell off at or near 3.40 atm.

EI - Why the sale if it still looks cheap on 12month view? Was it wider market concerns?

I sold most this morning, kept just under 20%. Still look cheap
on a 12 month view, just IMV, regardless of any rate changes.

Truss said that the rate she set was the only lawful option. Wells v wells set the mechanism as to how the rate should be set i.e based upon govt gilts. However we know Claimant's invest their damages in a variety of different ways including stocks/shares/isas/bonds there is a strong argument that the way the rate is set should change.

Hammond met the insurers on the 28th Feb following announcement of the new rate - minutes of that meeting have not been disclosed - Hammond will save 5bn this parliament if he changes rate to 1.5% - we shall see - however surely there will be a bounce based on the announcement of the review alone?

rumours in the legal profession are that the discount rate review is out tomorrow. A statutory reversal of wells v wells will be required in order to raise the rate. The current rate of -0.75 will cost the NHS more than 5bn - expect a statutory reversal before the summer - with the new rate set at 1% - 1.5%.

A good day to buy before the review is announced? We shall see. A rate set at 1% will mean changing the 2016 accounts and payment of a special divi imo.

Lovely bounce, that looked a relatively low/risk reward opportunity,
a bounce to at least 3.40 looked pretty much nailed on to me,
closed around the day's high.

A shame EI. The industry press continues to cry about it. It'll probably be a 7am rns with my corn flakes. The auction will push us 10% higher. Unless DLG is acquired by then...Or the market sells off...Imho dyor
