16/3/2006 20:34 | Adeyberry.. It was muted a couple of weeks ago that SA Telecom monopoly Telkom, was maybe interested in acquiring DDT but this was dismissed as just talking, nevertheless it is interesting and seems to have raised DDT's profile somewhat, and who knows this can push our old pal/adversary up into the 55p + I got my fingers crossed ! Finess = I am also admiring the chart of recent days ! Looks good to me ! | spec2
16/3/2006 17:18 | spec2.... I have not a clue about any possible buyer for DDT, but nevertheless the chart looks very interesting!! Could we see 55p shortly I wonder??!?!? Great buying in progress, and I'm happy to roll with it!! | adeyberry
16/3/2006 17:05 | This chart is looking a bit of a classic, should be in a text book. | ![]() finess
16/3/2006 14:41 | Not many buyers for South African companies IMHO. I think the parts are worth more than the whole. 50p breached thats a good sign I hope, think and pray. | ![]() finess
16/3/2006 08:41 | Adeyberry - Unfortunately not out the way yet, Back in again Buddy, it's Mr buy-all at 49p now ! oops ! Let's be positive on DDT for a change . Have you any information on possible buyer of DDT ? rumours flying around I hear . Cheers, | spec2
14/3/2006 16:56 | Will we ever get "Mr sell-all at 49p" out the way!!! Here's hoping anyway..... | adeyberry
14/3/2006 15:24 | Gentleman , Ladies. I see my "praevaricatus" ( my Latin ain,t bad you know !) has at least aroused some response in this forum, Lest you think I am negative , your comments have indeed triggered me to get back into DDT, and I look forward to your further interpretations on DDT. | spec2
14/3/2006 12:06 | Spec2 is prone to a little prevarication, is he not? | retford1
14/3/2006 09:18 | Bonkers, Why dont you say what you mean and dont beat about the bush. ;-) | ![]() finess
13/3/2006 20:08 | What are you on spec2? "chance on DDT" - every share purchase is risky, DDT is about to break out - stop acting like a muppet and get yourself in. | bonkers2
13/3/2006 18:28 | FINESS, I recall they report in Rands, I see DTD.J is starting to trade higher today up 1.5% with nearly 7 million traded. Looks to me that I am itching to buy in again into DDT.L and DDT.J but I suppose Warren Buffet would laugh his head off, all the way back from the bank, not that he would ever be so dum as to take chances on a share like DDT. However I did check my crystal ball for that 50p + and it's possible soon . | spec2
13/3/2006 10:05 | DDT raised money the buy Cheernakief from Peter Harrison and other things at the height of IT market. The money raised was in sterling, I dont know weather Old Mut report in Rands or Sterling. More to the point are we going to to see a new high this month. the chart looks like we should get above the £0.50. I hope and then onwards and up to the next level. | ![]() finess
10/3/2006 18:12 | Could be so FINESS, but the exact holding they now have I must investigate further,I don't think it is significant. Plenty volume now and plenty players. It seems though that we must now wait for DDT's May interims, and what I can glean , their margins are improving, so expect a significant movement up, from there on. PS/ is that 600 million, Rands or Pounds or Dollars ? Santori, Have the ballast tank valves stuck ? Das Boot is still on the surface! | spec2
10/3/2006 10:33 | Old Mut didn,t sell they wrote the holding down to a realistic figure I seem to remember. It was in the region of 600 million. | ![]() finess
09/3/2006 13:09 | Small snippet, DDT.JSE has completed the full purchase, (price not disclosed ) for control of Internet Solutions, by buying Old Mutuals last 20%, bringing DDT 100% full control of this largest South African internet and connectivity service provider which must be seen as beneficial to DDT overall, as the successs of DDT still hinges on it's SA operations. I hate to be optimistic, cause I am usually contary, but I think this could be the resurrection of DDT in the eyes of the institutional investors ?? Watching closely, as it seems the "January Jinx" syndrome may have alleviated itself a bit !! we are now well in to March and no significant retracement as yet. | spec2
08/3/2006 17:47 | Santori, What is your latest on DDT , any snippet's ? looks like it's holding up remarkably well ! don't you think ? | spec2
02/3/2006 17:36 | I forgot to give you the news at the closing of markets today DDT was up 2.19% to 46.75p trading 5,078,781 shares. | emergin
02/3/2006 17:30 | Hervey... so sorry about the spelling mistakes Take a look at this weeks Shares mag., page 30, bid and rumours, 'A possible bid for Dimension Data (DDT) by South African telco Telelcom. The chief executive of Telelcom has already been reported as saying DDT is a takover option and that he had 'met some of their shareholder.' Bulls would hold for a little more upside, perhaps 55p. My own research had come up with the same news on DDT-Telelcom. That's why I started the new thread markyd60 computers are all strange to me at the age of 68 years I find it hard to understand, I will try to put more meat on the bone as we move along...I delayed the above info, as I new the mags would start talking soon. spec2 you had the right end of the stick 'some taking a shaded interest' | emergin
01/3/2006 23:03 | Spec2, not totally unexpected, dive dive to a 150m Das Boot style, well out and will continue to monitor. | ![]() utsushi
01/3/2006 17:56 | Santori what's your latest take on this one today ? | spec2
01/3/2006 17:50 | Well I suppose someone is taking a shaded interest in DDT, While on this " new thread " all I need now is a needle ! I am also waiting for some juicy titbits to increase my depleted savings ! from our learned seamster's. | spec2
01/3/2006 02:01 | no charts,info,nothing | markyd60
01/3/2006 01:57 | Yawn, not even your spelling mistakes could keep me entertained. Why start a new thread?????????? | ![]() hervey
28/2/2006 14:43 | In today's market place there is so many companies to review. One that I have been tracking for some time now is Dimension Data, over the last few months their shares price has the trend of upwards movment. Now that they have got their product sollutions enabling clients and supplies to interact in real-time over networks and the internet. Then more business should follow. At the close of business on Monday the shares stood at 48.5p to be fair there was some profit takers, however the number of shares traded was 4,448,556. | emergin
28/2/2006 14:06 | Dive ! Dive ! it looks like this boy is dropping as predicted by Santori and other's, indeed the Robbers Dog is gnashing his teeth I suppose ? | spec2 |
