10/9/2013 11:10 | beeezzz Have you considered Income Drawdown? | bracke
10/9/2013 11:00 | It's trying so hard to get above £14, just can't get there, must be a psychological barrier. | beeezzz
09/9/2013 17:10 | N+1 Singer keep their 'buy' recommendation and upgrade their target price from 1403p to 1617p. | v11slr
06/9/2013 10:23 | APAD...Please don't mention annuities, I'm dreading moving my sipp into some useless insurance company that creams off most of it for themselves and provides a pittance in return. Back to Dia dividend paid today. | beeezzz
05/9/2013 06:17 | capital gain and income have the same effect, whether one is older or younger. Financial Advisors are forced to advise older people to invest in an artificial way as they could get sued. Don't get me started on the iniquity of annuities! apad | apad
04/9/2013 22:52 | jeff....Monies only for spending you can only enjoy it in this life, no point waiting until your to old. I've started to question all my investments, made 500% on one my stocks recently could do with a bit of excitement in my life. All I can say is enjoy. | beeezzz
04/9/2013 20:07 | If only one could guarantee capital gains! I'm not averse to spending a bit of capital if I have to but I like to feel that I have a secure income to live on; the rest is bunce. If only I'd done what retired people are supposed to do and moved from equities into corporate bonds in 2008, I wouldn't be faffing around on bulletin boards - I'd have been swanning around the Caribbean on me yacht! 8-) | jeffian
04/9/2013 19:40 | jeffian - I've never been able to get my head around this idea of being retired and focusing on income. Surely it's the total return that counts? Capital gain plus yield, if you've got a large capital gain just sell a few of the shares, it's like declaring your own personal dividend. | v11slr
04/9/2013 18:38 | would it not fit quite nicely into a company like Philips or similar? Would love a bid... | sourgrapes2
04/9/2013 17:47 | The historic 2012 eps is around 41p giving a PER of around 34x. The dividend yield is under 1%. Analysts' estimates for 2013 are around 50p giving per 28x but the interims were actually significantly down on last year and they'd actually have to make more in H213 than in the whole of 2012 to achieve this. I sold on the results at 1356 having held for years since the Roxboro days, not because I don't believe in the long-term prospects but because I think it's got a bit ahead of itself in the short term and it doesn't meet my current criteria as a retired bloke who now focuses more on income. Despite the growth in LED, other parts of the business are skewing the figures at the moment and I felt that the full year is likely to disappoint in which case PER 34 and div >1% is too hot for me. | jeffian
04/9/2013 17:32 | Not sure what the EPS is offhand...however, I thought this was fair value at £12 so P/E must be moving up. LED market will gain real traction over the next couple of years DIA will suddenly explode. £20 would give them Mcap just over £600m not out of reach I would say. ftse reshuffle today I believe. | beeezzz
04/9/2013 16:55 | nearly! how nice will it be to achieve a close above 1400! With a bit of luck it'll motor a bit once it's through that psychological hurdle. I'm not much of an analyst - are there any opinions out there on the current "fair value" of this stock? | sourgrapes2
04/9/2013 10:36 | Nice share award....over £½m NICE..... | beeezzz
04/9/2013 08:23 | Ah yes Bones - so it is. | tompion
03/9/2013 21:52 | It is a share award. | bones
03/9/2013 20:36 | Ah interesting tompion. That would cost him! Must have faith in the future | gswredland
03/9/2013 19:50 | Nice to see that the Chief Finance Officer, Mark Fryer, has just bought 38,000 shares. | tompion
03/9/2013 14:38 | This looks like a repeat of March 15th when it reached 1413 (not beaten until today)and then closed at 1365. | sharw
03/9/2013 13:46 | Blue end today would be nice, looking unlikely thou. | beeezzz
03/9/2013 13:21 | Today's action smelt strongly of a bull drive to smash out the stop losses of established shorts placed above the highs. Good riddance if so :) | bones
03/9/2013 13:15 | Hopes raised but then dashed! Onwards and upwards over time for this one. encouraging signs I think. | dahhad
03/9/2013 12:05 | 1400 is pretty much bang on the upward trend from July, so I don't mind continuing to oscillate around that rising trend intraday. | onething
03/9/2013 11:51 | Must have been short of stock, they've marched it all the way up and now they are marching it back down again. Very small trades mind you, if we finish above £14 I would be surprised. | beeezzz
03/9/2013 11:03 | Nice to see this heading back in the right direction. | b17nns |
