A guyfrom Diageo who I did work with always used to be positive over the stock. In his words People drink when times are good and drink even more when times are bad. This is a quality stock and they are always looking to move into new markets and that includes alcohol free that has even greater margins. The future is looking very positive for Diageo

With +60% gross margin and premiumisation brands will have to disagree, plenty of share price upside IMO despite macro headwinds.

Ok so dge is quality company - but it won't escape the cost of living carnage.
tbh the share price has held up pretty well - but I can see it going lower.
Unfortunately it looks like I was a bit quick off the mark reinvesting my dividend.

This market is enough to drive you to drink, so I added more Diageo at 3565p.

I agree with Questor and as I said above I was surprised the update didn't go some way to quantify the upgrade. In fact, since it didn't I assume Questor is wrong at least in the short term as they have hedged out the effect
