Interim results published on 4th Feb - hopefully they will provide some cheer. We could certainly do with it. Suet |
Sentiment is against this. Long way down yet.
Thanks.

Hell of a drop off from 12pm. Broker downgrade?
Salty |
Is Trump saying stuff? |
So what was the news at 12pm? |
I think the low at £23 has been done, 3 strikes down there. Unfortunately share price will ne news driven now rather than track record driven as was in the reign of Ivan M. They’ve mishandled a few things including news since then. But it’s a good sign that £25 is the new £23. Good luck all |

Having loaded up at 2300/2400, same here then pushing on up.. :o) |
I’m sort of hoping that £25 is the base level. Suet |
I’m rather more interested in the upward breach of the 200 day moving average. But yes taken with the impressive sales performance of both drink categories 2025 is looking up. |
The Guinness shortage is real. My local is having problems with stock.
Complete incompetence. |
'Guinness crisis deepens as pubs issue 'come-and-drink-here' plea to punters' |
£37 was some 18 mths ago. Why are you still here? You're obviously not looking for a buy-in.Although I do agree, it's not the share it was.As for the shortage, didn't Heineken declare that they were running out of gas for their lager just before the Euros, never happened. Is the shortage Guinness or Guinness zero, there's no shortage of either in Ireland or any of the other 4 sites around the world where they make it.As it's said do your own research and make your own luck, cheers. |
From their prelims (page 21 - item f Dividend):"The Group aims to increase the dividend each year".Https://www.rns-pdf.londonstockexchange.com/rns/2892Y_1-2024-7-29.pdf |
BTCWell done on your foresight, congrats.Could you enlighten everyone as to why they need a placing, were you serious!. |
Complete misjudgement regarding Guinness.
FFS by the time they get production to the level required, the fad (and Christmas) will be over.
I have no confidence in the people running this firm and am relieved that I dumped the lot at about £37. |
"They’ve clearly stated that they aim to increase dividends every year. Plus it’s more than covered by earnings so doubt very much that there will be a cut. As for your “placing”; comment and “pump and dump”, hilarious IMO. This isn’t an AIM stock. Their free cash flow increased 18% to $2.6bn, they are within their debt ratio target and will be reducing. You mentioned buybacks which I do tend to agree that BB’s shouldn’t be funded by debt but show me a FTSE100 company that isn’t doing exactly the same to keep the US investors happy. Plus they’ve reduced the BB by over $700m and if as you imply they need additional funds (unbelievable thinking IMO) then they scale back / cease their BB programme (2024 $987m). Plus they can easily issue another bond."
That's called telling yourself what you want to hear. The share price doesn't agree and I sniff trouble which is why I'm out for now. |
A lot can change in coming months after worldly festive seasons |
