Hi Mark I always buy the A shares because you get more divi for your purchase. I don't know of any difference other than the right to vote at the AGM, but the absence of that right will necessarily be a turn-off to some people. The best thing is to construct an ADVFN chart comparing the share price of DWHT and DWHA over the last ten years. It is very illuminating. Basically the A shares were once much more fashionable than they currently are, indeed I think the current degree of discount is unparalleled. I would be a buyer of the As today if I didn't already have so many. cheers WCB

Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help about the structure difference between A and Voting shares in this company. Does the share price of the A shares compare directly with the voting shares? In other words, do both types of share correspond to the same % claim in the company as the other, and the only difference is the voting premium? I notice the voting shares are down considerably today after those excellent results.

Nice acquisition on what looks like a very low PE of under 4x - probably reflecting the fact that Dewhurst already use it for sales. Underpins what was lookinga more demanding PE following the run up of the shares. Still a high quality small company.

I hold the A shares and the yield and liquidity is better than the ords. Lets put us on a pe of 8 x eps of say 50p (which is what Im hoping for) so 400p...so a pound higher for the As(or 380 As and 420 Ords) We then have 10m qd cash and a freehold property worth 5m qd in for nothing!! All my opinion but dirt cheap at 300p Ive held these for 15 years and most years profits and dividends have been rising. Its a steal at 3qd and I think we will be 350p early December on the figs and then 5qd within a year.

Had a change of mind about holding the ordinary shares, and sold out for breakeven, a bit too illiquid for me. Might look at the A shares where the spread is less, but no rush at the moment. Good luck to holders. ic2...

Good question. I wasn't sure which to buy on Thursday, but looking at the yearly strength the A shares were +31% vs only 18% for the ordinary. Now they are about the same. ic2...

Out of interest, why are you not buying the 'A' shares instead? Higher divi for a start. It's interesting to compare the chart movements for each over the last five years and to buy whichever is better value. DWHT now 33% more expensive than DWHA - hasn't happened for a while.

Hi cfro, I managed to buy in @ 390p yesterday morning. Must admit I hesitated due to high spread and illiquid nature of the shares. But decided that the positive statement outwighed my concerns. Worth reading the outlook statement from the last interims and then compare yesterdays statement, what a difference. Sorry I didn't ping you a mail about these yesterday, but I wasn't sure about the spread etc myself. ps, agree with your sentiments about WAND, I keep looking at them, but on a PSR of 24.5 I just cant see the investment case myself, maybe I'm missing something. ic2...

And good to see a new break out on strong volume, these are certainly a buy at this level, and I look forward with interest to increased broker estimates. My initial target is also 500p. ic2...

I was amazed that the A shares hardly increased in price at all today. What do people want these days - a man walking in front of a share with a green flag telling you to buy??!

Great trading update today http://uk.advfn.com/news/UKREG/2012/article/54150194 These are rather illiquid and the spread can be large at times, but worth comparing what they said in the last Interim report and todays trading statement. Looks like they are trading much stronger than anticipated. DWHT are on a forward per of 9.55 before the broker inceased forecasts. Net cash = £5,0m last full year and net margins were 7%. ic2...

I agree good results and with so much capex being spent this year the future bodes well, relative to the general economic situation. What is odd is the unprecedented gap between the Ords and the A shares: http://tinyurl.com/cp9xlkp Surely a gap here that is waiting to be closed?
