"exciting" is very likely doublespeak here.

They talked about bringing senior management across from Cathedral. I seriously wonder if they brought EVERYONE across.

I thought the discount was around 20%. Pretty much the worst in the sector?

DSC has pretty much the worst discount to NAV in the sector. Its a reflection on management and their performance record. Its shocking they are still sat in charge taking out such huge wads in salaries and bonuses. There was a reasonable dissent yesterday against that.

I suppose you have to do deals to create value. Wonder what the current NAV is?

Not sure on this IMS... talks of an "exciting" period..... excitement may be fun for management in the sense of doing lots of deals.... but what shareholders want is value creation...

Good to see a firmer tone over recent days; and especially today. But Volume still low and BlackRock still overhanging. We need to clear 230p to perhaps signal another run on the previous highs:

But the unusually wide discount to NAV surely shows a lack of investor confidence today, does it not?

I must admit I don't have a completely settled view of management myself, which is why I tend to blow hot and cold depending on what the shares are doing.

Hm - Don't agree with that. Have no personal knowledge, but they have a reputation for being rather astute and conservative - this latter can be considered either good or bad depending upon your personal attitude to risk.

Back in 2009/10 Michael Marx had a considerable following, which was why he was able to raise so much cash in two consecutive Rights Issue at full NAV!

I'm saying the management is below par. They are not very good.

When I look through the merchant cantos interviews the impression I get is of a recreational management. Its a subtle thing you see in the body-language, the turns of phrase and general attitude to questions. I wouldn't have noticed this without watching other company videos.

I suspect this highlights a problem in these shares. Placemaking is a slow, creative affair I think will prove more satisfying for management than for shareholders.

Our new property regeneration division - Cathedral Group - gets a mention in the Smithfield Market development debate:

Apologies to the Company who have graciously pointed out the 3 RNSs announcing the reduction in the Quantum stake - all issued near end May. A period coinciding with my 10day internet outage as I was switching providers; a time when I missed many things.

We're both assuming they've banked their profit and moved on...

No matter, most pundits feel Aberdeen to be a safe pair of hands.

Have you noticed how often one finds BlackRock reducing holdings at the moment - not just in DSc it would seem. GEMD today; and saw another one elsewhere yesterday...

Sorry Sky - ignore me.

Yes that would mean that Aberdeen have been adding beyond taking out the Quantum stock and more.

Do the figures mean that Quantum is out, or just that they are below reportable level?

?

10.82% + 8.04% = 18.86%. Now up to 19.21%

So I assume Quantum out entirely.

That still leaves Quantum with about 1m back in the market? Unless they diluted their holding through the recent acquisition?

CM - Well done you! Yes, it would seem as though Quantum has exited, selling their stake to Aberdeen. Surely there should have been an RNS from both parties!

I'll contact the Company...
