I think we are in a fire sale scenario
It looks like Sneller and Spencer have said no more!!!

The rns stated they were open to offers from other potential partners

I don’t think they will give it away but how much could they save 10-15% would be a good result in my opinion.

The market has written Pensacola off and more besides

Odds 50/50

barnes4 - Could not agree with you more - Hence question above - What value if any remains? - OK Put it another way - What chance of management pulling it out of the current mess and increasing the current valuation for the benefit of the owners and themselves -
Odds?

I wouldn’t count on Shell doing the decent thing. This is all on DELT, they should have taken care of their own funding. Alas, as always, shareholders pay the price for mismanagement.

Frankly, I'll be amazed if someone like Serica doesn't step in for a very small percentage to Deltic

Graham Swindells, Chief Executive of Deltic Energy, commented:

"The struggle to find a way forward on a project like Pensacola, which is one of the largest discoveries in the North Sea in recent decades, is a real-world consequence of our political leadership using the nationally important oil and gas industry as a political football at a time when energy security is of paramount importance.

Given the impact of fiscal and political uncertainty on investment decisions we have seen a shift away from investment in larger standalone projects, like Pensacola, towards more affordable, lower risk opportunities which defer decommissioning or increase infrastructure life such as Selene, and the Company's Syros prospect in the Central North Sea, where we have seen an enhanced level of interest.

We look forward to the start of drilling operations on the high impact Selene exploration well, in which Deltic is fully carried for the estimated cost of the success case well, which remains due to spud in July 2024. In the meantime, we will continue to pursue all avenues to progress Pensacola and will update the market in due course."

Why the f8ck did you have to issue this RNS ?!?!?

Next time just shut the f8ck up and get on with the extremely well paid job !!!!!

Here's an idea, maybe Swindells should get on the phone to Andrew Austin at KIST. He's always on the lookout for new assets, maybe an agreement of sorts can be reached. In fact, it maybe an idea for KIST to look into fully taking out DELT in an all stock deal - DELT holders will benefit from a wider portfolio and mixed exposure, with a good chunk of assets outside the UKCS. But hey, Turkeys at DELT certainly not going to vote for Christmas. It will need activist investor groups to make any such deal happen.Cash

I think, management have nothing to say to shareholder at the moment. They may be trying their best to arrange fund (either partner or placing or any other means) to keep Pensacola. Maybe, wait and patience is key at the moment Shareholders are selling shares due to uncertainty or derisking before next news - thus price is going down. The market is already priced in the worst case scenario...

A 60 percent drop and no bounce is extremely unusual and just shows how much people are don’t trust this outfit

What a bloody mess and no words from the management who have destroyed confidence and shareholder value at the stroke of a pen

Probably major holders said no at 40p so forcing the price down for a bigger slice of the pie in other words inch hi private eyes diluted into oblivion

Barnes, maybe there is nothing to report, yet?!
If you want to address the CEO, you should write to Deltic investor relations!! No point jumping up and down here.
Small time traders losing their nerve or just hoping to buy in at a lower price is driving the share price down. Volumes are tiny, it really means very little to most holders. We need concrete news though.

Reba, the CEO holds lots of options, see on their website. These would be worthless as it stands, so a big thing also for the CEO!!

Can anyone remember what price our Mr. Swindell bought in at.?
He won't want to loose out by selling cheaper than that will he.
Maybe a safety figure we are looking for just for now.
