It doesn’t make sense to had it back at this stage

It's not an asset if it requires extra funding that the company doesn't have.

Think of it that way.

Funny how good news doesn't have the same affect as bad news on the charts, all a huge scam, investment companies keep advertising on social media to invest in stocks, I make sure I say no don’t do it on every page I see, think I owe it to the public to warn them, the days of investing are now well and truly gone, it’s day trading that makes the real money!

This isn’t over yet. Wouldn’t DANA or Shell be interested in getting 20% and in return leave Delt with a 10% share free carry?
I can see something like that happen.

The company said this only yesterday - what do you or other posters know that they don't?

The recent difficult state of UK equity markets, especially for smaller companies, has been well publicised. This, coupled with the impact of the political and fiscal regime on UK E&P company valuations and investor sentiment means that the Board believes that accessing traditional equity capital, as the Company has successfully done in the past, is unlikely to be a viable option

Placing is my guess so just wait so we can all buy at that price or lower like last time! Really can’t see them giving up such a valuable license, Spencer could fund that out of his loose change! He donates millions to the Tories !

Absolutely, it has. But the irrationality of the market then offers great opportunity - this being a clear case.

Simple ?

So then has the market over reacted??

barnes4

Nope, you guys just don't get it,... once the asset has been fully appraised - it then has a tangible and significant value and will trigger a re-rate of the company valuation. The asset can then be realised as they wish.

Yes the Selene costs are fully carried to drill an exploration well. And if the well is successful, what then? Same as Pensacola? There is no money to develop it.

Deltic are an exploration and appraisal company, NOT production. The Selene costs are fully carried - with the Dana farmout, so your statement is pointless. Top tip - do some research!

It might be sensible to relinquish it but in that case their whole business model is called into question. They are an exploration company looking for discoveries to sell but they would just be demonstrating that they can't even sell a good discovery.

There won't a placement - they'll relinquish the asset most likely.
