A placing may or may not be possible but they are going to get absolutely screwed if they go for an unconventional funding source as they suggest. And it is not just the amount of money they need to raise now (£15 million) but also further cash calls to support the project through to development. They have nothing coming in, they are way out of their depth and there are no lifeboats. Vultures will be circling but with beaks not cash.

Shell may be playing hard ball in which case Delt should inform Shell that they will have a fire sale to anyone but Shell to avoid Shell getting Delt's Pensacola share for free.

I agree . The RNS was to bring to a head the negotiatons . In my opinion If no deal then a fund raise around these levels supported by our major shareholders. We might just raise £10 million to retain 20% and give 10% back to Shell . Lots of options in my opinion the possibility of a full t/o .No way is Deltic just going to give 30% of Penescola back to Shell for nothing which the market is pricing in .
