Deltron have egg on there faces over there recent aquistion as well.

They paid about £ 2 million for a co forecast to add about 200k per year.

However Elektron paid less than £2 million for an aquistion that.....

Doubled turnover.

Brought in millions in negative goodwill, stock and tooling.

Already made over a million in profits.

The aquisition by EKT paid for itself over and over again already.

Difficult to say at the moment but when you look at the fundamentals they are v poor compared to EKT.

Look at the premium rating !!!

Far too high.

This is going to be a v interesting year and call for me.

For some time now Deltron electronics has been placed on a premium pe rating to Elektron and my belief is this is set to change.

Elektron is a far fitter company than Deltron, EKT fundamentals are far better ie
growth stronger, eps higher, gearing lower.

First growth....... is far better at EKT...were as DET is showing only marginal growth in turnover EKT is showing more than 100% growth at the interims.

EPS is far better at EKT and profits higher.

Margins are far higher at EKT as well..DET about 32% and 42% approx at EKT.s subsidiary Bulgin!

Ekt is ugeared with now net cash and building at that.

At the moment DET is paying a dividend but this was not covered at the last results. However EKT is set to go on the dividend list this year and the forecast dividend will be well covered. www.brokerlink.co.uk

Moreover Elektron is cutting more cost the year just gone which will save the company a further 500k per year.

Within the next 12 months i would expect the pemium rating to fall for Deltron and be raised for Elektron.

I warned some time ago when Deltron's share price was climbing towards the 90p level that a fall would come. My predictions are now being realised.

Deltron's present market cap of over 3 times EKT cannot be sustained.

Share price at the date of this report is Deltron approx 76.5p...EKT 13.5p

On a 2 year basis Elektron has already outperformed Deltron share price but i expect the gap to widen.

still holding these after all these years...

I will be Happy to see another positive year for deltron - share price could well push over the £1 and if it breaks that,we should see £1.35-odd

this share has certtainly established a good base!

DELTRON ELECTRONICS (DET)

The continued turnaround at Deltron is evidenced by the company's latest set of impressive results. And, as well as proving itself in the numbers game, a distribution agreement with ITT Industries, and last month's acquisition of Quiller Holdings, bodes well for the future.

Profits of £1.1m during the first half, compared with a £1.5m loss for the same period last year, show just how far the company has come. Market conditions appear to be improving, and the engineer has a strong order book and balance sheet. Continued modest progress is expected in the coming months, and broker Evolution Securities forecasts full-year earnings of 5.8p We recommended buying shares in Deltron at 64p (30 July 2004) and, at 91p, they are still attractive. Buy.

Tiraider did a chart analysis for me on Deltron (5 years) on the KBC thread. This was his conclusion.

Looks pretty good to me. Once clear of the res area around 94p, there's a big gap to fill up to 135. It's going up, no doubt about that, may consolidate for a while at this level (will allow the rsi to cool off), the macd is turning +ve, so not too long to wait. Any weakness would be a good time to top up.

Forward PE of 15 with forecast growth of 15%, not cheap is it?

There's a lot cheaper growth around imo.

This share chugs away delivering the goods - a new high after the figures - and nobody other than me and johnroger (previously) seems interested. Everybody else must be frightened of a good investment.

Results on Thursday and the price hasn't budged for a month. The wide spread doesn't make it exactly a trader's stock. What's ACAL's long term policy I wonder?

Thanks ... a mention in IC has not been helpful for a lot of shares. For the record I bought mine on the 25 Aug 04 at 67.25p (without seeing IC or it may have put me off).

Deltron shares rise on acquisition
Shares in Deltron ticked up to a 12-month high following the £3.1m acquisition of Quiller Holdings. The addition, which is expected to be earnings-enhancing this year, strengthens Deltron's position in the UK. Quiller brings with it a number of new UK franchises including additional products for the aviation and security market.

Sales at Quiller totalled £4.2m last year, while profits were £246,000. Further acquisitions can be expected as Deltron takes advantage of good operational gearing,

Deltron looks set to continue growing. We recommended buying the shares at 64p (30 July) and, at 86p, they are still attractive.

Sharescope gives consensus earnings as follows
9/04 3.8p
9/05 5.9p -growth of 55%
This gives a PEG of just .26

Looks as if broker has increased forecast eps for 05 from 5.6p to 5.9 p, which might in part explain recent price increase ... which in turn encourages me to believe that my £1 target at Christmas and £1.60p+ in 12 months is realistic.
