I took the oppurtunity to top up. When this share turns it motors. I'm not saying what is going to happen over the coming weeks(no-one knows honestly)but I am happy to buy at these levels(as I was at 90P), especially if their earnings due come in flat and not negative. A negative earnings is more than factored in now, even thought the director said sales will equal last years. I'll take my 5%divi and sit it out in the meanwhile. Who honestly thinks this will be lower in 2years.

And another Director purchase :

Another director feeds from Deltron's trough

Deltron Electronics, the troubled electromechanical components supplier, has seen one of its executives in the market twice in the past week; now a non executive has got in on the act while its share price wallows at a year-low.

Sir Ivor Cohen bought 25,000 shares at 72.5p each at a total cost of £18,125. This boosts Cohen’s holding to100,000 shares or 0.36% of the £19.8 million company. In the past week Citywire has reported executive director Francois Feldman dipping into the market twice to pick up a total of 66,350 shares.

I know nothing about charts. Supposing the chart predicts that this share will fall to 68p (say) in the next few days, then is it possible to take this into account, look at the share graph that this would produce and then give a prediction as to what would happen after that? Cheers.

Seems as though uk-invest and Shares Magazine subscribers are still being stop-lossed out of this one following recent ramping ahead of the profits warning.Perhaps when that stops there may be some recovery in the share price, but it takes time to rebuild trust in this market.

I think this could still go further - in fact I'd guess 66-67p. The chart suggests this but I think when it turns (the macd is quite -ve at the moment too), however, it may go very quickly when it turns.

I could of course be completely wrong as the same chart suggests 80p on another projection (*:).

Watch out for the geaing. Very high according to Refs and relatively low nav. If recession continues for too long could be in trouble IMO but DYOR.

Yes you have to watch anything tipped in these rags don't you its down another 10p today.

First sign of the price going up and I'm in, as it looks pretty sound and div was increased which is what some of us old fashioned investors look for as well as growth. The recession won't last for ever and if the co can maintain profis during a recession presumably it can increase them when the inevitable ecenomic recovery takes place in say 18 months 2 years time.

Deltron dealt a nasty blow

Electromechanical component supplier Deltron Electronics was knocked back today after predicting flat full-year profits despite a strong set of interims in March.

The company said it was 'not immune to a deterioration in global economic conditions' and has suffered 'a number of delivery deferrals'. Telecoms related business were hit particularly with substantial declines in France and Scandinavia.

For these reasons the company said profit for the year to September would be similar to last year's £4.1 million.

The management tried to put on a brave face and drew attention to its recent acquisitions which it said were performing in line with expectations, leaving the company well positioned for an upturn.

The market wasn't impressed and booted the shares (DET) down 17p to 89p.

The news follows a strong set of interims released in May which delivered pre-tax profits up 29% to £2.1 million. At the time the shares were trading up 2.5p at 155p and chief executive Christopher Sawyer said: 'It would be imprudent to say we are immune to an economic slowdown, there may be some dampening of our organic growth, but it looks like we are near the low point of the trough and the effects should only be temporary.'

Hmm. Just goes to show that a profit warning is NEVER priced in. Hardly a profits warning in any case (they'll 'only' be making as much as last year when spending has fallen off a cliff? Pretty good I'd have said).

the company is Deltron. Tipped recently by GCI at about 155P and RHPS. Two recent earnings-enhancing acquistions. Share price down from 180P to 93P yesterday(when I got onboard). Look at the graph for potential rise in store.

Sorry for new thread, excellent posts on other free advfn bb under DET.

Just bought in at 93P. The fall has been overdone, 4% div to boot. If the growth targets can be met(or close), these will move seriously forward. They have been tipped recently before the fall, possibly a revisit after recent large fall and 2purchases. Volatility could propel these up quickly. Glad I was home this morning.

Nice to be aboard.

Nice article on sharecast.
