If this was back in the old days of say 1.5-1.75p penny status there would be
buying all over it and easy doubling of the price.

That is major news this time not the mickey mouse website rubbish.

New Commission

Following the announcement in December 2014 that September Films Ltd, a Group company, was in discussions with ITV and GroupM Entertainment relating to a commission to co-produce a second series of the primetime comedy game show Celebrity Squares (the "Commission"), DCD Media is delighted to announce that the terms of the Commission have now been agreed.

Celebrity Squares is a co-production between September Films and GroupM Entertainment. The format is based on the classic comedy gameshow, Hollywood Squares, from CBS Studios International. Elaine Bedell and Peter Davey for ITV Entertainment have re-commissioned the second series for ITV primetime in a new 8 x 45 minute format. The Executive Producers will be Bob Massie for September Films and Abigail Adams for GroupM Entertainment. The series producer is Aaron Morgan.

Hollywood star, Warwick Davis (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Willow), who made his presenting debut in the first series, will reprise his role as host. Meanwhile, Celebrity Squares resident comedians, Tim Vine and Joe Wilkinson will also be returning.

David Craven, CEO of DCD Media today commented; "We are obviously pleased that our partnership with GroupM Entertainment has delivered a returnable series with ITV. Bob Massie is a highly experienced entertainment producer and, under his stewardship, we expect the second series of Celebrity Squares to be another hit."

Timeweave Limited, one of DCD Media's largest shareholders, is providing September Films with a short term GBP2.8m unsecured loan to fund the production and recoverable VAT, to be repaid by 30(th) June 2015 ("the Loan"). Under the terms of the Loan, DCD Media expects to pay Timeweave a total of GBP40,000 for interest, arrangement fee and costs. The Independent Directors, David Green and Nicky Davies Williams, consider, having consulted finnCap as nominated adviser to the Company, that the terms of the Loan are fair and reasonable insofar as DCD Media's shareholders are concerned.

DCD Rights signs new drama deals globally as The Principal is timetabled to launch at MIPTV

Independent UK based distributor DCD Rights continues to secure new deals for its hit dramas The Slap and Rake, with new acquisitions confirmed in Europe, Canada and the US, as it prepares to launch powerful new character-driven drama The Principal at MIPTV.

The International Emmy and BAFTA nominated drama The Slap (8 x 60’) has been acquired by Hulu in the US, Societe Radio Canada and Kino Polska. These new deals add to the recent format adaptation of the drama in the US, where a five episode mini-series debuted on NBC in February this year.

DCD Rights has also shipped series one and two (16 x 60’ in total) of Rake to Fox Africa, taking the total territories airing the popular legal drama, an Essential Media & Entertainment and Blow By Blow Production for ABC Australia and Screen NSW, to more than 100.

At MIPTV, DCD Rights will debut its latest drama series from Essential Media – currently in production for SBS TV – with The Principal (4 x 60’) starring Alex Dimitriades (The Slap), Aden Young (Rectify, The Code) and Mirrah Foulkes (Top of the Lake). A story of intrigue and personal identity, The Principal is set inside the pressure cooker of a troubled secondary school, where a new head’s radical attempts at reform, initially met with scepticism by staff and students alike, are starting to make progress - until a student is found dead on school grounds.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO at DCD Rights, commented, “We’re very pleased with the continued global success of these key titles in our drama portfolio – the impeccable performances and highly absorbing storylines of both Rake and The Slap ensure perfect content to attract and retain primetime audiences across each series. New mini-series The Principal from Essential Media promises to be a powerful drama, combining a murder mystery with the realities and moral complexities of life today, and we’re confident it will resonate very well with our international clients at MIPTV.”

DCD Rights takes Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour feature to international audience

Independent distributor DCD Rights has concluded a raft of deals worldwide for its new pop extravaganza Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour, as broadcasters in Latin America, Australia and Europe secure the HD special showcasing performances from the Grammy Award nominated pop star’s smash hit 2014 tour.

Produced by RCA Records and available as a 60’ or 90’ special, Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour is now heading to Globosat in Brazil and Segmento Directo in Mexico, while DirecTV has signed a pan-regional deal covering Latin American territories. Also picking up the concert are Foxtel in Australia, Hiper Vision in Israel, MTV in the UK and NRJ12 in France.

As one of the most dynamic performers of her generation, Miley’s latest concert is one big non-stop party. Featuring performances from tour stops in Barcelona and Lisbon, Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour sees Miley accompanied by a cast of furry friends and cartoon characters in a larger than life showcase of hits including ‘Wrecking Ball’, ‘Adore You’, ‘SMS (Bangerz)’, ‘Love Money Party’ and ‘Get It Right’, as well as party anthems ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Party in the USA’.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO at DCD Rights, commented, “Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour has attracted a huge amount of interest from our global clients since its launch in January and we’re delighted to announce this first line-up of deals. It’s a spectacular show featuring one of the world’s most popular and talked-about performers, offering a fantastic opportunity for channels to create a real buzz around its broadcast and engage with the hard-to-reach younger audience demographic.”
