30/11/2018 08:46 | WHICH CONFERENCE? Tiger | castleford tiger
30/11/2018 08:18 | The IC seems to be lumping DTG with TCG and TUI which in my view is a mistake. Tui has also fallen back quite a lot recently. The smaller fall in DTG is likely being caused because it is in the same sector. The CEO gave a very good and informative update on Jet2 at the conference this week. Their strategy is somewhat different to TCG and Tui and is well supported by independent travel agents. I repurchased my shares recently after the fall and will be looking to buy more in due course. | minky
28/11/2018 18:11 | One major reason !! Its based UP NORTH! Seriously you are spot on. Jet Who? The IC gave a sell rating on DTG saying the future was doom and gloom and they should not be expanding bla bla........ but a buy rating on another airline and never mention the aforementioned. Next year in the 2019 period we will break the 3m barrier for holidays. Thats 25% of the current total market. That gives us a fair chunk to go at. I read what TCG are going to do about the holiday division and frankly its too late. A customer walked into my office 15 m ago and said i am away till the 19th of December but i wont be booking with them again (TCG)as they are going skint! Thats how it starts. I love the excuses TCG had . The heatwave apparently lasted from Early May to late Setember. Well August was poor in Yorksire and June not brilliant. Its an excuse and not one of them overpaid fools has a clue. Credit Suisse put a buy out only last week. I feel sorry for Kumala and some of the genuine lads on there. They fell in love with it. 28/11/2018 13:46 | Not only misunderstood by analysts but also investors chronicle. Herd instinct | shaker44
28/11/2018 13:42 | Why is market missing DTG? Please go to the Thomas Cook investor relations website and watch the webcast from this week on their FY18 results. A whole room of City analysts ask questions to Thomas Cook CEO and CFO for an hour about the terrible year they had in the UK, and not a SINGLE ONE mentions Jet2, or even asks about increased competition. Not a single one of these analyts covers DTG. Yet we know that Jet2 officially overtook Thomas Cook as the second biggest tour operator in the UK in last 12 months. A five year old could figure out why Thomas Cook's UK business is collapsing, yet no City analysts appear to be aware of what is happening. Thomas Cook reports "hot weather", while DTG reports record first half profits. DTG is still massivly under the radar, and remains a misunderstood company ("its an airline blah blah" etc). | wagnerlove
28/11/2018 13:37 | For me, we're being classed as a pure play Airline with little consideration to the high margin holiday provider. EZJ, WIZZ, RYA, IAG all been hit by fuel concerns, staycations, strikes and Brexit. We're growing when others are contracting or closing, WIZZ has closed Wizz tours for example. Now EZJ are focusing on holidays for one of their key drivers going forward. So there is a market there. "Passenger volumes for summer 2018 have been strong as our important flight-only product was enjoyed by 4.38m passengers (2017: 3.52m), a growth of 24%, whilst demand for our Real Package Holidays(TM) strengthened, with Jet2holidays taking 2.31m customers on package holidays (2017: 1.81m), an increase of 28%, representing 51.0% (2017: 50.7%) of overall flown customers." | hatfullofsky
28/11/2018 12:38 | What do you make of it HF - why do you think the market is completely missing DTG?Honestly - not trying to be sarcastic and am genuinely interested in your thoughts? | tongosti
28/11/2018 08:11 | OTB reported today. Compare DTG to OTB - OTB on a x 20 multiple DTG remains significantly undervalued | hatfullofsky
27/11/2018 17:11 | tsmith226 Nov '18 - 11:32 - 4730 of 4746 0 2 0 Should move up strongly | tongosti
27/11/2018 16:46 | Yeah right | tongosti
27/11/2018 12:59 | I see the TCG results as great news from DTG, I would say we're stealing market share from their Tour Operations, yes you can blame the weather, the strikes the ATC, all of those "excuses" apply to DTY yet we produced stellar results. It's another [DTG] buy signal for me | hatfullofsky
27/11/2018 11:09 | sp .. if they are spending advanced custy bookings, it bye bye TCG or recapitalisation of the biz .. w1 | woozle1
27/11/2018 10:28 | No doubt the shorters made a killing on TCG! Good volume in DTG and I think institutions finally moving in | tresham
27/11/2018 10:18 | They have spent money they dont have ..eaten into the advance booking pot.. they are slowly exhausting all the available opportunities..at some point without further available funding they are going to be insolvent | snorkelparker
27/11/2018 09:54 | Brexit may not be helping sentiment, but that's an opportunity to buy at a low rating. | fokker45
27/11/2018 08:48 | Isn't helping sentiment here though... | tsmith2
27/11/2018 08:18 | Indeed bizarre to see this on Tuesday when results due Thursday. Down 28pc by 0815. The statement by TCG is the exact opposite of DTG interims. They may as well blame Brexit for their ills like FLYB..... | fokker45
27/11/2018 08:14 | And they're ditching Club 18-30! What is the world coming to? | sf5
27/11/2018 07:41 | they will recortd a loss Woozle. last year EBIT was 330m and net profit was 12m Looks to be in serious trouble and i agree with snorkel they need to raise a billion net debt fogure is again distorted by pre payments close to 2 billion. Weird releasing this 2 days before results tiger | castleford tiger
27/11/2018 07:25 | It would be easier if they just said Jet2.com. Within this, profit in our tour operating business fell £88 million as the sustained heatwave restricted our ability to achieve the planned margins in the last quarter. The UK was particularly hard hit with very high levels of promotional activity coming on top of an already competitive market for holidays to Spain. | woozle1
27/11/2018 07:13 | After exceptionals - most of which are cash - TCG is barely profitable. w1 | woozle1
27/11/2018 05:22 | Bring down net debt is a favorite of TCG .. | snorkelparker
26/11/2018 21:17 | They are always confusing quoting edit and ebitda not post tax and other costs They will be poor but a better outlook Tiger | castleford tiger
26/11/2018 15:50 | TCG report full year results on Thursday, will be interesting to see how they compare to DTG. | fokker45
26/11/2018 11:32 | Should move up strongly | tsmith2 |
