Seems quite a bit of chatter about a bid out there, presumably last weeks broker report was designed to creat a buying opportunity. Shorts closing another indicator, I suspect £3 will come soon enough.

Not all that… that’s a hell of a lot of shares now illiquid

Nothing to do with the business, he’s simply using them as collateral

And it’s looks like dark being lined up for bid… this all syncs with MW reducing

DARKTRACE should be renamed DARKHOLE as it tests 200. BoE have 240 but as we all know it will Overshoot below 200 and even 180 is a strong possibility as competitors move in and results are proven to be Negative, Cask Flow Increases and Bad Debt become more serious every day...

Just Watching to see.. How Low How Soon!

"is there any news behind today's drop ?"

Yeah, people just realising the only reason this has not tanked yet is because of the share buy-back which has provided exit liquidity for those wanting to get out.
Once that dries up penny share status awaits!
Woof woof!

Hmmm, so on the 25th May NUMIS reaffirm their target of 520 and next day ML start their coverage at 240. Mind boggles!

Street Low 😂 funny

Just creates another LT buying opportunity imo as I imagine the sheep sold because they were spooked. In the end just another broker report, most of which are clueless on share price targets, both ways.

(Sharecast News) - Cybersecurity firm Darktrace tumbled on Friday after Bank of America Merrill Lynch initiated coverage of the stock with an 'underperform' rating and a "street-low" price target of 240p, which implies 18% downside potential.

BofA noted that the company primarily operates in the Network Detection & Response cybersecurity market but has been adding some capabilities in the Extended D&R (XDR) space.

"While revenue growth has been strong historically (48% in FY22) driven partly by its attractive interface, successful marketing and a highly effective salesforce, we expect growth to significantly decelerate (BofAe 18% compound annual growth rate of FY23-25e versus 23% cons) as: 1/ we expect much stronger competition in the next 12 months, 2/ weaker macro puts pressure on new wins as customers further consolidate providers, 3/ upsell potential remains unproven with limited success to date," it said

Its why I sold out a few weeks ago, too many unknowns here. The hedge funds are in charge once again and can call the stock up and down like a fiddlers elbow when it suits them. This is not investing !! Good luck if you're in !!

Basically all the small / early stage companies i follow have dropped 15% over the last 3 days on no news. Either some kind of fear regarding the US debt ceiling standoff or just general risk aversion or perhaps even some hedge funds were caught out shorting Nvidia and have holes to fill

As Orders fail, revenue falls and Debt increases.

Dark are trying to support share Price by buying back BUT NOW ITS FAILING big time!!

Too Risky as Debt increases with No large sales any tine soon!!! 250 to be tested!!
