06/6/2002 21:26 | Oaks the trading pattern is very similar to feb/mar after the previous results the volume seems to be drying up i guess will trade in a narrow range till a month before next set of results imo this will then break past $5 unless we get some news or brocker recos jmo. | ![]() sigora
06/6/2002 21:14 | Sigora, that's after selling pressure from retail that made the institutional trading reduced to 10%. So, I would guess today institutions bought about 30,000 shares at around $3.40 or 60p. Not bad. I repeated many times that 60p is the fair value so far. Market as a whole could affect the price (today Dow down 170-ish maybe?). Tomorrow is Friday and we have not seen Dow will settle yet. So negative effect from the market is inevitable. However, I still believe 60p is still a fair value and positive sentiment will come back soon. | oaklandsway
06/6/2002 21:04 | Finished down 11cents at 3.38 on volume of just over 300k . | ![]() sigora
06/6/2002 19:30 | 33,000 shares were bought in the last 40 minutes of trading & suddenly the institutional portion was up to 13% from 0% at the same period. Will be a good sign if Danky can hang around $3.40. I am here, where is the Funny Fans. | oaklandsway
06/6/2002 19:07 | Agree SP, Get real is the right word. Danka still try to stay around $3.40 although must be affected negatively by downturn in Dow & Nasdaq indexes. The overal market is not good at the moment so get real. | oaklandsway
06/6/2002 16:45 | FF Get real - if that 250k was that significant the price would of dived - but it didn't. It probably helped balance the books from the 450k buy the other day. | serious punter

06/6/2002 14:33 | IMHO, the sooner the better for Oracle implementation. Not that expensive anyway but the gain for the implementation will be much more IF SUCCESSFUL of course. DYOR. | oaklandsway
06/6/2002 14:24 | Not disputing the need for Oracle but the timing of the implementation....my guess is they were hoping to stabilise the revenue base before implementation ?...do I have to spell it out for you clown....imho the managemnt did not expect the revenue decline in Q4 either.... IMHO | ![]() forfaiter
06/6/2002 14:11 | The reason for the revenue of Q3 was greater than Q4: 1. The expenditure for rental is decreased! 2. The revenue from retail equiptment sales is lower in Q4 than Q3, because there was one or two national contract in Q3 but non in Q4. BUT AGAIN THE ACTUAL DOLLAR OF GROSS PROFIT IS ALMOST THE SAME AT AROUND $140M. Oracle is for efficiency mainly, the revenue will pick up not because of Oracle alone but the factors will be: 1. The increase spending from corporates for office equiptment (sector) 2. The sales & maintenance workforces (in which there is a transition) Oracle must be started from now, it is not only good for Danka but all organisations which work based on networking, etc. Do you understand the business model or not? Do you understand what re-engineering is or not? Oracle is part of re-engineering! Sorry, I actually want to LOL because you are very funny .. | oaklandsway
06/6/2002 13:59 | I agree stabilising the revenue base is the first phase of the restructuring process and I did think that the mangement had achieved that with the increase in revenues in Q3...... So I was surprised to see the revenues still declining in Q4 even though the management had increased expenditure with the implementation of the Oracle system... Surely a more prudent approach would be to wait until the revenues had been stabilised before taking on such costs...? | ![]() forfaiter |
