The easiest way into the UK (and Europe) for them is pretty obvious really.

Very interesting article.

I took a look at Trimble. Major international player, but t/over has reduced in recent months. Maybe they need a boost?

Was thinking about investing here, but slightly put off by the following:

Trimble sound like determined competition in what is already a very competitive market.

G'day

All above posts very welcome: thank you.

No results today adds fuel to expectation of something else going on. Management have been very predictable concerning the publication of results for many years, so a delay must be for good reason.

I would appreciate posts from some "non believers" as to why the share price is not higher. Most people here are of the same persuasion.

No intention on being 'hard' on anyone....sympathetic to peoples situation here and in the broader market.... yes

Have a nice weekend all ... I suspect there will be no fireworks here today.

tehart - great post!, you have summed my rationale for holding (and adding today, twice) to perfection. lets not be too hard on SD. he has acknowledged a release of the frustration that we all in part feel, from time to time. when I was in the VC area, we had a saying that 'your lemons tended to ripen before your plums'. I see this stock as a very slow-ripening plum whose valuation materially lags its value, hence the buy case. steve

Not sure how to respond but feel a response is necessary.
I am not based in the UK but have exposure to UK businesses and have witnessed, and been part of, the impact of recession moving into broader areas.
As an industry, CYH ticks many boxes for me, cost saving, green, areas of growth amongst others.
Adding to this I see a strong management team who say it 'how it is' if you can read between the lines so to speak, and deliver what they say they will in terms of profits.

If anyone can find me a company with exposure to 5 profitable areas of connected industry, a value of #10m, delivering a profit of #2m in this economic climate, in a industry with growth potential, and a history of good management, it would be well received. In my mind this is exactly what CYH has.

I agree that any delay in the results is for good reason.
SD ..... I suspect some of your emotions are a release of personal circumstance or general market sentiment and not a reflection of anything CYH have, or have not done.

I like this board now as after 4 or 5 years (cannot remember) I know who has done their homework ;-) I also know who to support when doubts creep in..... just think out of the boxes SD ;-)

Good Luck people ......

no real chat on the BB ...

SD - Just to let you know that you are not just talking to yourself. I'm sure there are a few lurkers like myself that keep an eye on the board and do appreciate the posts when they appear. Makes the paper loss (so far) slightly easier to live with ...

Thanks for the posts.

sd, - sensed you were a bit down, and hope my points may have perked you up - a bit anyway! you are right to point to the frustration that many of us feel as to the (late running) timing of the progress we all expect, here. I don't want to keep you from the remaining boxes (wow! good luck) but I am sitting here on a wet Cambridge day looking at 3 graphs namely 5, 3 and 1 yr progress. They all finish pointing upwards, as this slow share price recovery grinds on (but inevitably not in a straight line). Now put another shrimp on the barbie - and forget about this till the interim results,,,,catch you then, perhaps - g'day and all the best, steve

Steve

Many thanks for that. I agree 100% that CYH is a good stock, undervalued, high potential etc etc. I have held for many years and will continue to do so. However, I am just a bit down at the moment as I thought CYH was on a slow road to the share price recovering and then the last 2 weeks have seen us back to square one(ish).

Just frustrated that the potential is not coming through in more people being interested etc etc.

I will have some time to analyse the interims this year, so may be able to post something other than emotions!!

(168 boxes arrived last week from Austalia: nearly all unpacked!!)

measured v the ftse AIM allshare index (that is all AIM stocks) rebased from 3 years back at (then) 100, cybit is now on 80 (ie 20% down over 3 years having been 55% down at its low earlier this year) whereas the AIM allshare is 64 (ie still 36% down, having been 64% down at its low earlier this year). Both graphs are still in recovery mode, with CYH's less smooth than the index for obvious reasons. steve

just checked online again, and the (BSL) buy limit is now down to a ridiculous 10k so nabbed some at 37.5p, really just to keep these pesky MMs on their toes.

That's a bit hard sd, maybe 'you' have lost interest? I haven't. 'no real chat'? if you are sad that we have lost the mindless cr*p that used to polute these threads, then I'm frankly not. Its a bit hard on the teharts and sanity's and a few others who regularly post good finds, or try to make sensible inputs, as you have always done, in the past - albeit from a cautious and experienced stance. As an FCA (like yourself) I try to stick to the known facts, and look at growth in EPS, comparative valuations, dividend prospects, business trends (here and sector), cash and broker views etc (as these are not bandied about thoughtlessly). It is fairly clear to me that this latest 'delay re the interims' is down to some form of corporate action (of whatever size) that they wish to conclude and then co-announce. If it were simply down to poor results, then they would have shot them out by now and taken the flack. Cenkos would not allow them to prolong a false market, in my view. Not losing any sleep, and may top up but could only buy 25k online just now, at 37.5p, and not sure I want to add such a small parcel. (you could buy up to 50k not that long ago, online and I have a teeny suspicion that there may be a mini-treeshake going on). The MMs are not stupid. They will know that Cybit is up to something and that its not just delayed poor results. Any stock they can pick up cheap this week will make them money pre-Xmas. Hope you're OK sd - maybe the results will cheer you when they arrive. As I have said before, don't expect too much growth, in any event. The forecast suggests there won't be much to this point. Even without it, the comparative valuation gap to CYH's purported peers remains mouth-watering from the viewpoint of holders here. steve

Results tomorrow is my guess.

People have lost interest in CYH. Hardly any trades and no real chat on the BB.

Trickle down in the share price reflects this as investors look for action elsewhere.

Results will be the usual CYH "in line with market expectations" whatever they are.

Are we lookig at a trading range 30 - 40 for the next 12 months? Boring.

Alfa Quality Moving, an international relocation company with headquarters in Jönköping has now been on-board computers installed in all their vehicles. Cybit became the choice of supplier because of its experience and flexible solutions in vehicle positioning. A 3-year contract was written and Alfa Quality Moving can now take advantage of Cybit's product platform Fleet Star and all its possibilities. The contract will help the company improve customer service. The investment is also to reduce diesel consumption and CO2 emissions in line with Alfa Quality Moving's environmental work.

Steve Towe, European Business Director: "This contract supports Cybit's position as the leading telematics supplier and demonstrates Cybit's ability to develop a tailored solution to meet customer needs. Telematics increasingly being seen as a business critical tool to help organizations reduce operational costs, increase efficiency, improve customer service and support for compliance with the legislation. "

The main advantage of Alfa Quality Moving will be the facilitation of planning. As the company has the vehicle across the whole of Europe needed to have an eye on where the vehicles are located. In this way, Alfa Quality Moving also increase productivity while reducing costs. Control over the vehicle fleet is also planning becomes easier and smoother when you can always see where the vehicle is and can then optimize the process. This information makes it easier for companies to move from a paper-based system to an electronic system, which also reduces errors from manual data entry and simplify billing procedures.

Thanks to integration with CANBUS may Alfa Quality Moving get actual values on the engine and driver behavior. With the right information and education, combined with continuous monitoring can reduce its fuel costs and provide additional information concerning an individual driving style, hard braking / acceleration or gear changes. With the help of the Service Driver ID can be a vehicle also matched with a driver so that such can get up on eco-driving per driver.

Kenneth Egelrud, CEO of Alfa Quality Moving says: We have seen significant reductions of total operating costs for the vehicle fleet. Star Fleet has reduced unnecessary waste of fuel, giving us information about the excessive idling and "off route" travel. Star Fleet has allowed us to run our vehicles on the best route, which has saved about 10% of fuel costs. Cybit understand the importance of continued service and support and as a whole, Alfa Quality Moving found that levels of service and backup from Cybit been of high standard ".

thanks tehart - with 'top line' remaining an issue for most businesses, it is inevitable that serious organisations will be in some form of cost control & efficiency enhancement mode for years to come. Neil Johnson once enthused to me about the relatively 'short payback period' on an investment in Cybit's products/services, in just the way now described by Gilbarco. 'Within a year' was the way it was put - depending on the target operations. Smart people always pilot something and then roll out wider if the pilot proves positive.

From Last month but interesting paragraph

"The U.K. installation made dramatic improvements to the competitiveness of our organization," Coombe said. "Following our acquisition of Autotank Group of Tampere, Finland, earlier this year, we have now deployed Cybit's Fleetstar across a further four countries."
