500k IS excessive based on past performance of the share price If the share price had risen fair enough, but look at the share price performance of CYH over the past 12 months c/with the FTSE and the AIM. CYH has underperformed so why oh why is the MD paid as if he had performed at the top end of expectations.

In my view CYH has to move forward soon or the foundations may start to crumble. I have held for many years and have seen the company progress on almost every count except the share price How long do I wait? another 5 years? I am not the only investor with a fairly major stake who is becoming increasingly frustrated. I hold 1% or so.

Cheshire - no problem with remuneration if deserved.

But a company turning over £20m+ with £2m in profits does not need to be paying anyone £500k a year.

If he gets it to a market cap of £100m - then they have sufficient options to reward them and they can take a fatter salary then.

Just a case of Directors using a diverse base of small PI's who are unlikely to attend AGMs and group together to vote themselves high salaries. They are Directors, they do not own the company.

Nothing more, nothing less.

LOL, Nice one Pedr01 - it shows what rubbish traders talk.

Maybe the silence from Cybit is because they are sulking after the furor about directors wages.

Personally I dont mind if the directors are extremely well paid £100k, 500k - no problem - IF profits(or rather EPS) go up 30% a year, then they can pay themselves what they want as far as I'm concerned.

As far as I'm concerned, the job of Horsman is to make the company into a £100m concern as quickly as possible - the best way to do that reliably is to grow turnover and profits.

IF they can achieve the £100m (at the current share issue), then we will all be happy and directors pay wont be a problem.

If that was the case you would end up with £50m at the end of the year after starting with £1k. Are you secertly on the rich list ???

I will prob get into this one but not just yet. Without sustained volumes this isnt going anywhere. No point tying up capital here yet when you can make 3% daily on the main market with eg. the miners and play the humps.

It is very quiet, perhaps too quiet. I am just waiting for the deafening noise.

Nice to see that on low volume (less than 200k in the last month) CYH is treading water nicely.
Next set of results due in Dec should be interesting in the current climate.

I see little downside currently

Looks like the management has achieed their objective of taking CYH off the radar. They complained AIM a few years ago. Is it now the least traded?

I think people see immedite opportunities with some bluer chip companies and CYH will have to wait till these reach fair value before we get a look in.

Or results are good or a deal!!!

CM I agree.

More EPS news. A lot of it has been mentioned before but I did like this sentence.

Cybit has really delivered on providing us with a top level telematics solution and we look forward to developing new processes through the implementation of extended Fleetstar modules.

It looks like the indecision with share price over the past week has weighed on the minds of the weak holders. Reviewing the trades on the plus market it looks like one or more brokers have been acquiring shares on the cheap for a while, so I expect there is for a buyer. We will just have to wait and see. For those of us who remain long on this share this is all part and parcel of investing here.

Nice post Sanity. The key bit for me was:

EPS has continued to expand and has increased its fleet of vans from 320 at the start of the year to 400.

It puts some numbers to the contract.

Quite a big one.

thanks Sanity, so that's an upgraded 56p H&B and 53p Cenkos - at least they're broadly in agreement.

Looks like EPS Expansion will be good news for Cybit!

Continued growth of field service drives need for further investment

Property service specialist Environmental Property Services (EPS) has announced details of its growth and continued investment in its field service operation.

The company, which provides services to both public and private sector clients, has enjoyed considerable growth in the last 18 months and was about to announce the securing of another contract as Service Management went to press.

The increase in number of field-based employees has necessitated updating the company's tracking solution to provide greater reporting options to allow it to manage resources in the field more effectively.

Bruce Tee, EPS group fleet manager, told Service Management that the company had chosen the Cybit Fleetstar-Online system and began to configure this in December last year.

With the majority of work completed in January this year, the entire process of configuration, training and vehicle fitting was finalised over the course of 12 weeks.

'You have to have the man at the top pushing a project like this through,' said Tee, 'and then everyone else will follow suit. You always need drivers in the business to make sure that the tracking system is correctly used as a business tool.'

He further stated that the real-time online solution had also proved effective as a sales aid by impressing potential clients visiting the company's premises.

The solution is integrated with the Kanban system to manage inventory, ensuring that field workers carry the correct stock in their vehicles to allow them to complete the calls.

The company also issues its field-based staff with Motorola Symbol devices and uses IFS software to oversee its mobile communication and field service operation.

EPS has continued to expand and has increased its fleet of vans from 320 at the start of the year to 400.

Currently employing 700 people, the company has recently secured another new contract within its social housing division to take the total to 19.

It has enjoyed year-on-year growth through the acquisition of a number of businesses resulting in a sales increase of 13 per cent and a rise in operation profit of 20 per cent.

Further expansion is expected to accommodate the requirements of its latest contract and investment is also continuing in the company's fleet operation.

It has carried out trials on vehicle racking at three of its branches and was in the process of finalising a deal with a supplier at the time of contact.

Nice but its a shame that its only a 'contact' extension and nothing to do with the business contract!

Does anyone read RNS's before they are released?

Gilbarco extends its relationship with Cybit
Cybit Holdings Plc (AIM: CYH), the international provider of telematics based
products and services for the management and control of land and sea based
assets, is pleased to announce that Gilbarco, Europe's foremost petrol pump
maintenance organisation, has signed a contact extension for Europe-wide rollout
including a further 170 vehicles across the Nordic region.
This extension follows the successful implemented of Cybit's Fleetstar-Online
telematics solution throughout the 200-strong UK engineer team and
Fleetstar-Online is now deployed on Gilbarco's fleet in five countries.
Gilbarco's service engineers cover a multitude of stations in a large
geographical area therefore engineer allocation is critical to the success of
the company, both on planned maintenance and reactive jobs. Fleetstar-Online
provides total vision over the whole business in real-time 24/7.
Richard Horsman, Chief Executive of Cybit said:
"We are delighted to be associated with such a progressive company and
contribute to delivering their key missions of quality, delivery, value and

earlier this year we have now deployed Cybit's Fleetstar across a further four
countries. The key drivers behind our move to vehicle based tracking have been
to improve engineer productivity; reduce operating costs through better process
and planning and provide metrics to manage service level agreements with our
customers.
"The return on investment was proved rapidly in the UK hence our decision to
roll out in Europe. Cybit's solutions have given Gilbarco quick wins on cost
reduction through increased engineer optimisation and strategic allocation of
resources."

EPS Deploys Cybit Telematics' Fleetstar-Online Vehicle Tracking System
By Rajani BaburajanTMCnet Contributor

Cybit, a leading online telematics service provider in UK, has reportedly implemented its Fleetstar-Online solution for Environmental Property Services, a leading U.K. property service specialist.
Story continues below ↓

Officials said that with the help of Cybit Fleetstar-Online solution, EPS has reduced fuel costs by ten percent through the strategic management of resources.

Fleetstar-Online, Cybit's scalable suite of Internet-based Mobile Resource Management and vehicle tracking tools, provides live, accurate fleet activity information. EPS uses the solution to streamline fleet planning processes, by accurately checking vehicle stock control levels in conjunction with live vehicle locations.

The high quality data relating vehicle and job performance is captured in conjunction with location information, reported and analyzed through Fleetstar. This lets companies make meaningful business decisions using up-to-the minute information on operational performance.

Officials said the powerful reporting capabilities of Fleetstar facilitate effective management of operational costs and productivity; support strategic initiatives around carbon footprint; and increase compliance with legislation including duty of care and health and safety.

The service helps EPS avoid duplicate and unnecessary journeys, and eventually, cut down fuel expenditure and reduce its carbon footprint. Fleetstar-Online also informs EPS in emergency situations and helps them make key strategic decisions on compliance.

Bruce Tee, group fleet manager at EPS, said the company chose Fleetstar as an alternative to its previous track and trace solution that gave basic vehicle location information.

"We saw in Fleetstar an application that would give us comprehensive high accuracy data which we could work with to fully manage a growing team from an operational level right through to a strategic perspective," Tee said in a statement.

Tee also said that Fleetstar application helps the company achieve corporate compliance. The information that is gathered, stored and presented by Fleetstar provides them with instant access to high level vehicle and driver information. The information derived can be directly integrated into a range of business systems to improve the efficiency of the entire organization.

Cybit operates within three core sectors: Internet-based vehicle Telematics solutions; Economic Exclusive Zone Management; and Private Mobile Radio based asset tracking and precise positioning solutions.

The company recently announced it has been assigned contracts to provide telematics services to customers of Integra Telematics, a subsidiary of GDS Mobile Communications Limited. As part of the deal, GDS will become a reseller and installer of Cybit solutions.

I would think the return on internally financing deals far outweighs the benefits of returning cash to shareholders.

Better to have a slice of a bigger pie in 4-5 years than some pennies now.
