Transaction Reignites Potential

The Company has disclosed that it has completed a placement and secured access to its agreed credit line to support its proposed transaction with Pared Energy.

This provides the Company with optionality to pursue the best structure possible to generate value for shareholders, which will also necessarily include farming out the Coos Bay assets.

While we await more information on the proposed transaction, we are reiterating our $24.3mm (23p) valuation, which is based solely on its Coos Bay asset.

In a way we had two bits of news, the interims which seemed to suggest plans need to be evaluated, appr. $450k in cash left and then recently we heard the whole executive team were either fired or collectively handed in their notices. I suppose any way forward would involve raising new money. I must admit to taking my losses following the interims, I might buy back in, but am unsure now how this company can deliver anything in the short term. Perhaps I am overly negative, any funds raised could be at a premium too to todays' shareprice.

price of Nat Gas continues to buck the trend and is over 30% up from its lows.

would think this will make the economic case better for the future of CZN, but the consistent lack of news makes me wary of adding to my small stake.

At least the price of Nat Gas is up about 15% on what is was some months ago.

Clearly they are having some problems or we would have more news. They are well behind the original schedule.

the "5 well" project is intended as a proof of concept.

if proved, then the intention is to link another 40+ wells, for which they will clearly need more cash.

they were supposed to have completed the project by end-June. however in April they announced additional work, viz. taking out bridge plugs in the 5 wells. but they didn't say how long this extra work would take. and we've heard nothing since.

assuming everything pans out as hoped then I expect the price to recover substantially.

the initial offering was at 10p, so one might think that the current 7p is a good entry or top-up level.

but with no info to go on it's just a big gamble at present.

Was surprised too that a fair amount of money got converted at 8p. I agree some news is well overdue now. As far as I can see, it is still not entirely clear which way they want to go with their project, ie start-up small and try to grow organically, or do the bigger outlay right away, assuming they have the customers lined up, get the contracts in, raise money and getting a bigger revenue stream in the end.

when I saw there was an RNS on Issue of Equity I thought they were raising finance before we even had an update on progress.

however it seems they are settling a (large) outstanding debt and at a price level higher than the market.

now if they can do the same thing when they REALLY put out the begging bowl I will be very impressed.

nevertheless the share price received a small uptick.

one can only speculate why the lack of news. have they hit a problem ? are they waiting to tie up a sales contract.

the work program was clearly outlined funded and there seemed confidence in an end-June date for completion. only a sales contract was outside their control. however gas prices in the US are low and trending lower so maybe this is the problem.
