I can't decide whether this re-shuffle is a good thing or bad thing.

In a way we had two bits of news, the interims which seemed to suggest plans need to be evaluated, appr. $450k in cash left and then recently we heard the whole executive team were either fired or collectively handed in their notices. I suppose any way forward would involve raising new money. I must admit to taking my losses following the interims, I might buy back in, but am unsure now how this company can deliver anything in the short term. Perhaps I am overly negative, any funds raised could be at a premium too to todays' shareprice.

price of Nat Gas continues to buck the trend and is over 30% up from its lows. would think this will make the economic case better for the future of CZN, but the consistent lack of news makes me wary of adding to my small stake.

At least the price of Nat Gas is up about 15% on what is was some months ago. Clearly they are having some problems or we would have more news. They are well behind the original schedule.

the "5 well" project is intended as a proof of concept. if proved, then the intention is to link another 40+ wells, for which they will clearly need more cash. they were supposed to have completed the project by end-June. however in April they announced additional work, viz. taking out bridge plugs in the 5 wells. but they didn't say how long this extra work would take. and we've heard nothing since. assuming everything pans out as hoped then I expect the price to recover substantially. the initial offering was at 10p, so one might think that the current 7p is a good entry or top-up level. but with no info to go on it's just a big gamble at present.

Was surprised too that a fair amount of money got converted at 8p. I agree some news is well overdue now. As far as I can see, it is still not entirely clear which way they want to go with their project, ie start-up small and try to grow organically, or do the bigger outlay right away, assuming they have the customers lined up, get the contracts in, raise money and getting a bigger revenue stream in the end.

when I saw there was an RNS on Issue of Equity I thought they were raising finance before we even had an update on progress. however it seems they are settling a (large) outstanding debt and at a price level higher than the market. now if they can do the same thing when they REALLY put out the begging bowl I will be very impressed. nevertheless the share price received a small uptick.

frustrating. one can only speculate why the lack of news. have they hit a problem ? are they waiting to tie up a sales contract. the work program was clearly outlined funded and there seemed confidence in an end-June date for completion. only a sales contract was outside their control. however gas prices in the US are low and trending lower so maybe this is the problem.

news overdue. if the current "proof-of-concept" project has gone well then they will certainly be looking to raise capital for the next phase. both of these may be denting the share price at the moment. problem is, the longer this carries on the lower the sp, meaning the lower the price of the fundraising, and the more dilutive it becomes. if the news is good it might be helpful to get it out first before setting the price of the fundraiser.

interesting little company this. Looks like a share placing will be done soon - they are presenting at an 'investors' evening, which normally points towards this scenario. aimho dyor

backmarker, if I recall correcly when oil dived to $40 and the thinking was it could even go to $25 the previous company couldn't attract the financial support needed anymore to carry on and bust they went. The asset still looks pretty decent imo, so I would say it's definitely commercial and in one of their presentations there is an interesting slide where they list some flow rate scenarios(low/med/high) and what it would mean in terms of annual free cash. Let's hope for some sort of progress news soon accompanies by a bounce in the share price ;-)

Looking through the latest Annual Report on CZN's website I noticed that they are carrying losses of $32m. most of this will be in relation to the earlier bankrupt company which CZN acquired. if they do become profitable then this could become a useful item. it is also worth looking at the 21 Apr 2018 presentation. lots of info about the wells (most of which data I am unable to interpret) showing how they plan to extend them to increase gas flow. the one point of interest that I didn't find but would like to know: why did the previous company go bankrupt having spent over $30m ?

there doesn't seem to be a lot of info available, and they don't seem to issue interim progress reports between milestones. I would expect next news to be some of: they have completed all drilling; they have connected to regional pipeline; they have negotiated a supply contract; the production level achieved. If it looks commercial then I expect they will drill more wells on existing acreage and possibly look for further deposits to exploit. I would expect further funding at this stage. I imagine the drop in share price reflects the fact that we are almost at end of Q2 and no news; boredom.

Has anyone done any research on this company? What is the time frame from bringing on more wells? What is current spend against the £1m in the bank dec17?What income are they targeting? What are the margins?

the price of natgas is up again to around $3, but a long way to go to get back to $3.50 nevertheless, oil price still looking bullish, so at worst one might hope that oil will drag up the gas price.

It may be that, following the IPO, most of the shares are held by IIs, high net worth individuals and companies. most of these probably have direct access and are kept informed. until further funding is required, when PIs may become of interest, I should think it's heads down, complete the wells and get the contract. I believe they are funded for the current project ? so I am expecting little news shortterm other than: (1) project complete (2) contract signed. I see the current project as CZN providing proof of concept and proof of their ability to deliver. it's what they want to do next that should be interesting. for that they may possibly need PI investment. in which case it seems sensible for CZN to say nothing until the current project is secured, then start broadcasting from a position of success. and in the process lifting the share price to provide initial stakeholders with a paper profit. I have a small stake and am considering increasing it.

If I remember correctly they did a presentation fairly recently and RGM even tauted their stake in CZN in their RNS today. That having said, I can only surmise that the absence of news atm is because of the gas contract(s) negotiations? Still hopeful there will be some decent news soon.

Not to impressed with the PR for this company either. Im not expecting significantly regular updates, but when social media comms like twitter aren't active for two months, its a pretty dire sign. How much effort is less than 280 words?

natgas prices up sharply. couldn't have come at a better time for CZN. here's hoping the rises in crude start to get reflected here, too.
