01/4/2022 10:32 | I realise talk of 'dividend' is a bit of a misnomer here, since any cash will surely come from cash realisations of assets. Nevertheless, the main point here is that those assets are currently discounted at up to 30%, so hopefully, the realisations will also be returning actual value to shareholders, as a proportion of that discount. | brucie5
01/4/2022 08:08 | kooba, your #686 was pretty accurate in predictions. (As early as 21/02) Allied Minds meeting goes ahead on Tuesday by the look. RB will be working with Invesco to appoint a (compromise) Chairman and set out immediate future of ALM. All good. | wbodger
31/3/2022 10:32 | This from 22nd December is important. The 50p is a targetThe Fund previously announced, based on the Investment Manager's assessment of the status and timing of anticipated corporate transactions, that it is targeting additional shareholder returns of at least GBP40 million or 50p a share before 30 June 2022. Whilst the Fund is confident that this as achievable, after consulting with a number of shareholders, it is no longer considered to be in the interests of the Fund to impose a fixed deadline but will be keeping it as a target. | astralvision
31/3/2022 10:29 | BrucieI think CousinsIT is correct, returns will be made via capital returns rather than dividends. The bit you quote from Nov is very relevant. So we can look forwards to up to 50p return this coming quarter. That will reduce the Nav but the shares are already trading at a large discount to NAV. Although the portfolio is concentrated, there looks a reasonable opportunity here for significant gains without excessive risks.HUR must help. | astralvision
31/3/2022 10:17 | So this is what they said following last November's AGM: "Based on the Manager's assessment of the status and timing of anticipated corporate transactions, the Fund is targeting additional shareholder returns of at least £40 million or 50p a share before 30 June 2022. This would bring returns of capital since the 2013 amendment to the Articles to more than £100 million. When such disposals are concluded, it is intended that returns to shareholders would be paid as soon as practicable. Further significant realisations and returns of capital are planned for the period after 30 June 2022." | brucie5
29/3/2022 18:45 | I'm not sure there's much to be read into dividends as they seem to be a route for returning capital rather than relating to underlying income earned... | cousinit
29/3/2022 12:27 | Thanks astral, yes, I think I was aware of that. Do you have any notion/idea of dividends for coming year? | brucie5
28/3/2022 11:16 | Be very positive and a break out if she's were to close above the 120p level. | astralvision
28/3/2022 10:03 | Brucie5Stocko reports the yield on a TTM basis, trailing twelve months. So they are not forecasting a yield. Hope that helps. | astralvision
26/3/2022 13:20 | Can anyone tell me why Stocko has the divi here at 10.73%? Marketbeat has 17.32% Advfn has zero. ???? Thanks. | brucie5
26/3/2022 06:00 | Think crystal amber are agitating the companies they've got shares with, in preparation for making a profit for their shareholders. | financialfred
03/3/2022 07:21 | Good news!Clive Vacher, Chief Executive Officer of De La Rue said, "I am delighted that we have reached agreement with the Trustee that continues to honour the commitments we made back in 2020 to pay off the Scheme deficit by 2029, and also introduces further substantial protections for members of the Scheme. At the same time, a GBP57m reduction in cash contributions to the Scheme will clearly benefit the Group's projected future cash generation". | kooba
02/3/2022 15:29 | where does anyone think enav is? my guess is 1.63 | edwardt
21/2/2022 13:50 | Thanks kooba | astralvision
18/2/2022 18:23 | I'm sure that is the plan..the current board are committed to wind it up and have been promising good things ..unfortunately not delivering. RB tried to oust before and got 47% support . Unfortunately some were persuaded to back the board..this was unwise as they have not come through with the promised progress. This time he will get over the line ..though i expect the chair to stand down before actual vote as he wont have the numbers to survive i doubt very much. | kooba
18/2/2022 15:59 | Good job if it brings increased value to ALM | astralvision
18/2/2022 15:33 | CA having another go fro AM Chairs head...as a Allied Minds shareholder glad to see it ! | kooba
18/2/2022 13:59 | Would have thought it must do. | astralvision
18/2/2022 13:36 | Announcement isn't clear that it allows for the 10p divi which went ex on 13/1. Convention would exclude it but is usually confirmed in the RNS. | cousinit
18/2/2022 13:08 | 22% discount to end of Jan's NAVLikely to be higher given HUR's recent performance. | astralvision
01/2/2022 17:31 | Some news on one of the private investments...if product gets some traction in combatting the huge global issue of diabetes and the vast plethora of conditions resulting from obesity then could be very interesting ..most likely be taken by large medical products company or jv on distribution.https:/ | kooba
24/1/2022 07:42 | DLAR - CRS still in them? "At the time of the Half Year results, the Group referenced the increased commodity and energy costs, and challenges in the supply chain. Since then, the significant headwinds, primarily relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, have become more pronounced. The Omicron and Delta variants have caused substantially increased employee absences in our manufacturing facilities globally, which will result in lower total operational output for the full year. More recently, the Group has also been affected by supply chain shortages in chips and other process raw materials and has experienced a degree of supply chain cost inflation. As a result of these external factors, the Company now expects adjusted operating profit for the full year to be broadly similar to last financial year, in the £36-40 million range, versus market expectations of approximately £45-47 million.." | spectoacc
17/1/2022 15:53 | HUR on the up - surely some knock on effect here? | joe say
14/1/2022 15:22 | High volume of 25 million shares in EQLS. It might be a chunk of CRS's stake, or part or all of Pembar's. | zho
