21/11/2018 11:37 | hybrasil TBH I think these still have to fall a fair way further before they are good value. I quite like the company though but with no end in sight to high pulp prices profit looks like being depressed for some time. Technical fibres seems like a good business though. | arthur_lame_stocks
12/11/2018 17:26 | H&S tp here is approx 950-1030, depending on which neckline is used. Potential turn 21/11/2018 | bamboo2

27/7/2018 22:53 | Recovering well after a bumpy period. Recent trading update provided higher degree of optimism than had been the case.... | yogi
08/3/2018 21:01 | This looks horribly overvalued to me. | arthur_lame_stocks
25/1/2018 13:45 | Thanks jbWhat happened to the recycling trial with McDonalds?DD | discodave4
25/1/2018 13:31 | The growth part of the business in the last few years has been Technical Fibre Products. (TFP). They do break out some numbers for TFP in the accounts. TFP are in a number of areas involving composites, fuel cells, areospace e.t.c. It's not clear to me if the growth has been in one particular area or if it's broadly based. Does anyone know? It's early days on the paper packaging business James Cropper 3D Products. Can they make money recycling paper cups? I can see that recycled cups are a resource for the paper mill, but I've no idea of the economics of the business. Anyone any idea? I have a small holding here I'm only a penny punter. I'm holding because of the growth in the TFP business. | jbfnfn
25/1/2018 09:59 | Looks like 50p eps for year end, so a PE of 35 for a zero growth stock...seems high to me. | discodave4

28/11/2017 09:01 | Recent discussions about applying a tax to one use plastics may be helping at moment. Businesses may start to look for alternatives and cropper could be well placed.... | yogi
23/11/2017 22:55 | Good strong rebound in price on back of interims - expect steady rise on back of continuing TFP progress and hopefully new 3D products... | yogi
21/11/2017 10:07 | So mark now owns nearly 20% | hybrasil
14/11/2017 22:11 | I think one thing that's quite positive is how quiet this board is! These are not shares that are being ramped. I'm not too concerned about the recent pull-back - same with a fair few high PE shares. Most of our investment is for the IHT relief available for my Mum - although I'd look to hold after that's no longer an issue. I like the TFP growth and am intrigued re the new division. | garbetklb
14/11/2017 07:19 | It's over 12 years ago since I was taken on a tour of the Cumbria plant and saw the tfp section. Today's result demonstrate how prescient they were 20% growth geared toward s fuel cells. It's very positive | hybrasil
06/10/2017 10:27 | Well Im back in, fingers crossed a few more people have the same idea. | wobaguk
06/10/2017 10:01 | I'm here for the tfp which doesn't use pulp | hybrasil
06/10/2017 07:21 | Garbetklb Correct it is going up by 5.1% per annum because of demand for paper based packaging, which I would say is a good thing for Cropper. All the best In 2011, the pulp and paper industry experienced the highest price point in more than 30 years. The industry had an inflationary trend that experts projected would last through 2011, but in 2015 the record price climbed past the previous peak. Yet again, we are seeing high pulp and paper prices and the question remains, when will pulp and paper prices finally stabilize, or will this inflationary trend continue? Well, according to IBISWorld, the price of wood pulp is forecasted to rise even further at an annualized rate of 5.1% in the two years to 2019. One factor driving the current price increase is supply not being able to keep up with the growing demand for paper-based packaging products. | toyin
05/10/2017 22:47 | Over on the ACRL thread (I do not hold) there is comment about a recent sharp rise in the price of pulp. Maybe this has triggered the sell off? | garbetklb
05/10/2017 16:57 | Toyin - I guess that must rule out staff cashing in SAYE stock just released or similar type programme.Bizarre move tho' | sspurt
05/10/2017 16:56 | You are dead right I think the market makers are probably happy to see it pull back I'm a very long term shareholder so happy to sit it out. Mark croppers recent buy would give one a lot of hope | hybrasil
05/10/2017 16:07 | hybrasil, I was one of them. I topsliced *just* after the peak at 32% profit, and when it dropped about 7% i sold the rest. I didnt want to see all my profits walk after a long build as I had happen with PRV. Happy to get back in at the right price of course! | wobaguk
05/10/2017 15:10 | No problem bamboo2. All the best | toyin
05/10/2017 14:24 | toyin, thank you for sharing. Price has fallen below 200sma. | bamboo2 |
