Today's statement is just about perfect. It even leaves room for another upleg at the next report.

The title of the thread "Back to £7" now looks like a shorters guide. There doesn't seem to be anything stopping this the chart is just incredible.

Well that was certainly an exciting start to the day.
Hopefully things will calm down now so I can get on with my day job.

kilgallp - your'e not the only one, I got in 3 weeks ago at 757, traded in and out since but I sold as soon as results came out missing out on another 30p or so. Not sure I have done much better than break even to be honest. I have found that having a pre-buying/selling checklist where you check for imminent results, X-div's TS's or any BB gossip to help with my timing generally. Also handy to do a dummy T20 trade on a platform like TDW to see if the MM's are charging a premuim or not, or selftrade do a similar level3 check of the order book. This isn't foolproof by any means but a useful addition to improving timing.

It's a little over a year ago that I spotted the tendency of the Croda share price to oscillate significantly. So I have been trading them regularly making consistent, if small, profits. However,, I wasn't paying enough attention to other matters, so only noticed positive results were expected today, just after I got out on Friday. Plonker.

Shouldn't this thread be renamed along the lines of - 'forward to £8' or similar!

Been in and out twice for a small profit since my September post, and bought back in for 771 this aftenoon. I hope it follows its recent pattern.

kilgallp, you really shouldn't shade the one bit of sunshine in my portfolio today, which I topped up on when they last went ex div in May. I too held Fenner and looked for a dip after selling, but with Umeco you could have sold at 230 plus and bought back under 210 three times before the recent dividend. Croda are now near their all-time highs so you may be right to move now. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

I've twice recently sold my holding of CRDA just before a retrace when I bought them back. This morning I went for the hat trick selling at 671.2. Here's hoping.

Of course it doesn't always work, I tried the same thing with Fenner, and have watched them rise and rise! :-(

the reason i started to look at it,as several houses had upgraded the stock to a price target of £7.00 with all the reasons behind it,also the kiss of death the investors con featured the stock 3 weeks ago,it has fallen since the puff up.it does look cheap ,i have not bought any yet ,perhaps arund the £5.00 levell,my thoughts,as i am looking for a correction in the mkts.i was wondering whether they may have a rights issue to help clear the debt??
