25/2/2012 12:41 | Today's Telegraph suggested that Shell will not allow PTT to walk away with this one. Seems small oil companies are going to have a nice run for a while! | grevis
25/2/2012 10:41 | eelanguilla I am a long term holder of Wentworth and can provide you with whatever info you wish for and probably then some more. I can't sent PM's though. Best suggestion I have is that you join xtrainvestor.com which is probably the most informed forum on Wentworth. Post a message in the group there and I can PM you or any of the other members can fill you in. The members include quite a few of the largest PIs in the company. You do have to sign up with your real identity though, which in my view is a good thing; less ramping and more facts. If that doesn't suit you, we can maybe take the discussion over at the Wentworth board. | mattoil
25/2/2012 04:34 | Some speculation that more bidders may enter the fray.. Lb | littlebritain
25/2/2012 03:33 | ...and to think that Shell and PTTEP were in some kind of "strategic alliance" a few years back. Well done all here... (I'm not a holder) | steve73
24/2/2012 23:06 | wonder when the koreans and the chinese will declare their hand....! | randommunkey
24/2/2012 21:56 | Shell will not rush back with a counter-offer immediately. They will be playing 'war games' this weekend to see what 'clout' the new bidders have, including what chances they (PPT) have of getting approval from the Mozabique government.......... If similar or bigger, then let the games begin and expect 3 further offers!!!!!!!!!! | yet another final
24/2/2012 19:46 | Just posted this on ITM but also relevant here, could be an interesting week for Oil Hedge Stocks like ITM and OCG Dave | solardave
24/2/2012 19:05 | still got all of mine hehe :) my ballpark figure was always 230/250 on what we have already - if theres oil or more gas on their licences - which there very well might be - then it should be north of that. i was happy with 1.95 because it was approx 375% for me after having scaled into my position (at small stakes compared to some of you guys). Upon the original offer I said well done all, not wanting to appear to greedy or ungrateful. I wouldnt crow about the people that have sold early - they may invest in something that multibags and makes a lot more money - its their money and risk reward is something we all have to decide for ourselves. Utrect (sp?) has been the most reliable poster on this board over a long time - with clear and concise info - and would like to thank him/her for all the effort put in and congrats of the profit :):):) None of us have to post here and we can all keep our thoughts and info to ourselves if we wish - never forget that. on more thing - yeeeehaaaaaaa :) - oh and before I decide how to re-invest (not now obviously) any thoughts on wentworth - any experts can pm me with some decent info as im more of a long term value investor and dont go in the the five quid tomorrow ramp routine :) have a good weekend all - mines a double :):):) | eelanguilla
24/2/2012 18:57 | Well done all, still holding waiting for a top up oppertunity in GKP. Wonder what another years drilling would have found. Can't see Shell letting this go, a strategic resource, with pre-emption rights. | riggerdigger

24/2/2012 16:13 | if you have more than 10 shares, then you can probably afford the upgrade!!! ; ) | thecynical1
24/2/2012 16:10 | Forgive my ignorance as COV was my first share and so i am a relative newbie. Can we assume that £2.20 is now underpinning the share price In the Shell RNS, the BID were going to recommend that offer, so surely now that has to change. i guess what i am getting at is whether the BOD could recommend an offer which is not necessarily the highest? i presume though the II's and PI's would not back a lower offer so am I answering my own question?. Forgive me just a little shocked by the speed of developments and trying get my head round things. Any insight appreciated W P.S Trying to work out if i can afford an upgrade to a bottle of Black Tower tonight | woodster71
24/2/2012 16:07 | Not in but good luck guys | leadersoffice
24/2/2012 16:02 | if it ends at 220, which I don't think it will, you're 12% better off than this morning.. I'm in for the ride.I think Shell will have another crack, but if they don't I'm relaxed. | verymaryhinge
24/2/2012 16:01 | 'Most people get interested in stocks when everyone else is. The time to get interested is when no one else is. You can't buy what is popular and do well.' as buffet said above. i am not interested in this, i am interested to UEN | ertugrul
