''And the road down to hell passes through the town of Insolvency
And that is a very poor place to be
When your down on your luck and need a stop to pee
Caught short in Insolvency is like being between a rock and a boulder
Not one Insolvent person lets you cry on their shoulder
Oh yes, this may be the way , this may be the way , is this the way to hell?''

New broom is sweeping clean. Chuck everything nasty into the first set of figures and then a new CEO can get all the kudos from the turnround.

I learnt a long time ago to steer clear of anything kMann is involved in. MTC and a few others. In fact I don't recall him ever getting anything right. By the way the only sound advice I have for this useless company is to getting shut of the useless Alison Platt might help. They usually desert the sinking ship before it finally keels over. She may be better off at home washing the dishes and doing a bit of proper housework

Things suggest another fund-raising, the debt is an issue now relative to valuation and trading!

FOXT is bucking the trend, no debt in a rising rate environment is an attraction, how much debt has Countrywide got?

Outlook statement very poor, statement about current trading is almost a profits warning in itself, things will deteriorate before they improve.

Well, the figures and statement certainly support the collapse in the share price. Nasty results. Still, they're probably doing the right things now so as long as they can weather the immediate storm it should look considerably better a year down the road.

Well I think you are being over generous about Platt's restructuring. She presided over 70 individual transactions of buying back in their own shares. Each single one loss making Almost like some punch drunk punter at the races trying to get out of trouble in the bumper.

It beggars belief that the BODS sanctioned this using borrowed money to buy shares which were in a downward trend .

Applying a hatchet job to companies only recently acquired expensively with talented individuals denied access to the the top jobs sounds fundamentally flawed to me not unpopular

Well it looks like platt did a lot of the dirty work, ie restructuring, which didnt please a lot of journy men. Similar to TCG, Harriet Green took a hatchet to the management and structure etc, now its in a far better place. She was unpopular, and eventually replaced by an insider, who bought a bit more warmth back to the company, still under dificult circustances (the height of isis/mena shut down)

Yopa today have announced a no sale- no fee online offer!More disruption The BODS need a replacement within weeks
I hold the BODS fully culpable. Just to think they only stopped buying their own shares at over £3.50 in 2106 Just think of the millions lost which could have been used to pay back debt and keep the banks happy

Senior guys at CWD aren't going to be hanging around waiting for Jon Hunt to arrive when they are more than capable of running their own business without the burden of a heavy debt They must be totally disillusioned with the BODS and imapired their careers
