Just digging around a little more. Kock did have some interest in CRX until recently:

Name of the proxy holder is given as Accrue Nominees Ltd - but further links between Koch and Accrue seem a bit vague

The European Commission was the victim of a DDoS attack this afternoon that blocked internet connectivity on-and-off for several hours.

hxxp://www.scmagazineuk.com/european-commission-gets-ddosed/article/575183/

Sean Newman, director at Corero Networks told SCMagazineUK.com in an email, “ Reports from the European Commission of saturated Internet connectivity are just another example of why organisations need to be looking to their Service Providers for protection against DDoS attacks, as on-premise defences are virtually powerless once incoming links have been overwhelmed.”

So it was Richard John Koch who added to his holding.

Richard John Koch is a British author, speaker, and investor, and a former management consultant and entrepreneur. Wikipedia

When he "retired" at age 40, Koch had made enough money to be able to fund the start or expansion of several new ventures. These included Filofax, Belgo, Plymouth Gin, Capstone, Betfair, FanDuel, and Auto1 . These have returned between 5 and 53 times his original equity stakes.

Where cybersecurity computes

hxxp://marlborough.wickedlocal.com/news/20161120/where-cybersecurity-computes

Q: What makes you different from the competition?

A: The goal of the Corero DDoS protection solution is to protect the customer’s network infrastructure, online services and confidential data from harmful DDoS attacks. Corero's anti-DDoS solutions are designed to be always on, providing automatic attack mitigation with continuous threat visibility and network forensics, which allow our customers to also monetize DDoS defense as-a-service offerings. Corero's real-time DDoS protection can be obtained at a fraction of traditional solutions. Also, the Corero SmartWall provides comprehensive, real-time DDoS protection against the latest breed of attacks, including network and application layer DDoS attacks, volumetric, multi-vector attacks and access attempts from internet protocol addresses with a bad reputation or from unwanted geo-locations.

Just as I was starting to doubt my holding in these then someone comes along and buys £75k worth. I would presume they would have done a little research first !!! I hope it doesn't transpire as a Director Deal as that would mean no imminent news due.

The last Director Deal I can see is when Chairman of the Board picked-up £849,999.92 of them at 22p per share during the April fund raising.

Let us see what today brings.

Rise of DDoS Attacks Should Have Businesses on Alert

hxxp://www.itbusinessedge.com/blogs/data-security/rise-of-ddos-attacks-should-have-businesses-on-alert.html

"Given the recent trend of security breaches and attacks, it just feels like this particular holiday season we are poised for some kind of DDoS attack that’s greater in scale than anything we’ve ever seen that could wreak havoc on the retail industry."

The Kaspersky Lab cybersecurity software firm reported a wave of DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks against major Russian banks on Thursday. According to the company's press service, the attacks might be a distraction for a much larger cyber-attack.

ps the cash burn for the last 6 months reported was actually $8.6m, once you add the exchange rate gain and the capitalized R&D costs.

Sorry Phil can't find an explanation for the cash burn. Read all posts here and RNS's. There's a real danger of further placing's to raise cash for working capital. Until they get costs under control and/or win many more significant contracts (which is highly likely) then I'm on the side lines. However the potential here is huge in the current climate and also the potential for a takeover. GLA.

If you go back it's been fully explained as to why this WAS the case, the company is now forcussed on core business rather than the scatter gun approach of the past and the full results should reflect this,Good luck .....;-)

Given all the recent publicity surrounding cyber attacks, I'm interested in investing here. Some good contracts wins to date. However, operating costs of $6.3m for 6 months, I can't get my head around that. That's major cash burn for a company of this size. I think I'll wait see what the full results are before investing.

Forget about Climate Change - Cybercrime is going to have a greater impact on mankind. This (Tesco intrusion) was a incident involving one small single-country bank. Imagine the result of an incident involving many multinational banks across the globe. (And that isn't even anywhere near a worst case scenario). Could cause disruption of trade and drop in world GDP. Enough to keep you awake at night ?!?!

As regards CNS part in fighting against it then we have to wait to see what further Contract Win RNS's materialize within the next couple of months.
