Posted at 05/11/2024 11:05 by philly cheesesteak As I said earlier today, they don't capitalise R&D spend, which is very unusual amongst small cap SaaS stocks. The below is from today's note and discusses forecast numbers."For a company that does not capitalise its R&D and therefore with little difference between EBIT and EBITDA, we consider 22% adj EBIT margin is a reasonable target given a £2.2m target adj EBIT" I've no issue with a company being operationally breakeven but loss making when inclusive of R&D spend, providing they are growing top line & gross profit quickly (which CRDL are) On page 45 of the 2022 annual report they disclosed that R&D spend in the P&L was £1.225m in 2022 and £980k in 2021. It's hard to believe that 2024 R&D spend would be lower than 2022, so if this was capitalised (as Beeks Financial Cloud do), then the P&L would very likely show a profit before tax. |

Posted at 31/10/2024 07:13 by srpactive Excellent rns, our first large scale deployment, wait until this gets rolling in theUS, once installed, the technology will be in bedded in the day to day of a business, also includes more detection. Expecting a strong move higher this morning. --------------- Cordel Group PLC (AIM: CRDL), the Artificial Intelligence platform for transport corridor analytics, is pleased to announce an extension to our existing contract with the Australian Rail Track Corporation ("ARTC"), taking the term of the engagement to 31 August 2025. 2024 marks the 5th year of successful partnership between ARTC and Cordel. This collaboration, which began in 2019, represents Cordel's first large-scale commercial deployment of our unattended infrastructure monitoring solution, setting a new standard in rail technology implementation. The new extension also includes network wide Light Direction and Ranging (LiDAR), Video and Clearance Assessments. |
Posted at 24/10/2024 18:51 by srpactive Yes it is the US, that will make crdl surge. Results soon as clocktower stated. Then boom time. Dyor |
Posted at 03/10/2024 13:40 by rochdae clocktower, you said the placing would be a flop. It wasn't.Valuation is more than a simple metric. Crdl a good growing company imo. |
Posted at 30/10/2023 06:56 by clocktower Any idea where Andrew Pearson ended up having raised years ago for MNO srp?We are in very unpredictable times and even in China now they are preventing IPO’s listing unless profitable, as I guess they have seen so many used as lifestyle businesses. Lots of great ideas but directors love to draw fabulous sums as they perceive themselves as something they are not, as very few deliver on dreams. CRDL seems to be one of those at present. DYOR |
Posted at 18/4/2023 11:08 by srpactive The above continues, come on crdl.dyor |
Posted at 27/2/2023 17:30 by srpactive ctYou have always been negative with crdl, please take your frustration elsewhere. The ceo states we are at breakeven now, with more contracts coming in as the other day. Have you seen the valuation of draftkings, worth $billions and loss making. Chart starting to look better. dyor active |
Posted at 20/1/2023 12:04 by srpactive ctNo not wrong you have always rubbished crdl. M Hi yes as I mentioned cash seems okay and if a raise is needed, I will support it. More contracts I feel will come in once the UK rail issue is sorted hopefully. Lets hope the US chips in. dyor |
Posted at 19/1/2023 10:19 by clocktower Wrong again srp - I do like the product and believe in the potential, that is why I am here, however I also like the truth and transparency.I also noticed ADVFN are shown the company as having fewer shares that it has in issue: CRDL – the correct number is 170,427,186 ordinary shares of £0.01 each. ADVFN shares in Issue showing as 107,430,000 as of 19.01.2022 So is the company worth over £9,000,000 based on the share price at current mid? I think not at present srp. |
