After the specifically worded RNS 2 months ago 'Oil Well Tobias-13 Spudded Yesterday',
instead of 'Oil Well Tobias-13 Successful TD' we get the more generic 'Angola update'.
The clue is in the RNS title, the subtle de-emphasising of the relevance of this well.

The RNS also states "Rig move to second location currently underway"
So site dismantled and activity ended a while ago. Makes sense as the well would have reached TD in weeks. A question mark over delaying communication of the disappointing result (presumably down to the operator) and question mark over 30% rise a day before the RNS (presumably down to CRCL, e.g. let slip to the telegram group). Verdict: Sell

That got the share price moving in the past.

3.25p.when Scottie started, all the way up to 0.6p now.

Full retrace underway following today's news of Colin's potential.

A case of 'as you were' really. The well has the same potential now as it did pre-drill, with no oil extracted, but importantly the Angolan operators have extracted contribution towards its costs from UK investors for this loss-leader activity, as the country declares its onshore oil industry is now open for business.

Indeed, repaid by taking out new convertible loan notes. Corcel are very keen recyclers, old oilfields redrilled rather than new, and even the debt is recycled.

Finally, the Company announces that it has formally notified YA II PN Ltd and Riverfort Global Opportunities PCC, and has now repaid the balance of the corporate debt due following today's conversion notice. This payment fully retires the facility, most recently announced on 30 January 2023.Antoine Karam, Executive Chairman of Corcel, commented: "The retirement of this legacy debt position alongside the convertible loan facility recently announced, continues the Company's transition to a new framework of funding our development. We thank our warrant holders for helping facilitate this process through their conversion and for demonstrating their material support for our ongoing development."
