Well todays news should send the share price higher, if nothing else will.

You don't need luck if you're a buyer now Clock. It would be a very smart move. This is a business that has reiterated "above expectations" in the last 2 updates. Alma is clearly doing well, but no contingent payment for eco-decks tells us that they did not deliver >£1m PBT.Expected Net Debt of £4m on revenues of >£34m (£45m annualised)Perhaps you don't understand revenue generating, profitable companies and prefer Blue Sky, Jam Tomorrow stocks ?Remember you can make money whilst waiting for Jam Tomorrow :-)

I was of course referring to the money invested 50% in first half and then second half almost equally split. So provided earns more than 6% will be enhancing.

Invest what money charo, they just paid out a decent lump sum but at least there is good support today following the news, so maybe the recipient of that cash is investing a little bit of it in the company's shares.

If it ticks up it will give sellers a bit extra as well, because I do believe there are more sellers at 15p than buyers at present.

Each to their own view and good luck if your a buyer now.

So long as Coral invest the money as before will more than compensate. We only need to worry if interest rates exceed 15% for lengthy period Coral return on equity is a little higher based on say 15 p.

Thanks for those figures charo - I wonder if the mortgage rates were fixed or floating as the bulk of commercial mortgages are, and what effect are the higher borrowing rates having on Coral's bottom line ?

What do you think they pay 2% above base or more on mortgages?

Stock market response to positive news is clearly muted & smallies remain in a tough bear market.
The fact that this acquisition exceeded expectations & small unneeded property was sold (allbeit not material, while tidying up the Balance Sheet) & providing £200kish towards the earn out figure is positive for our year end figures, when published & FY23 has been a good year. The FY24 Outlook Statement will hopefully remain positive, despite inflationary headwinds & while not expecting our share price to multi bag any time soon,an increasing dividend would result in a very solid yield & the downside will be limited - as long as we continue to meet/exceed expectations.

So what if profit only covered costs suggests free cash circa £200k.
Rns 15th march 23 bank facility £10.35 mill plus £1.4 mill cash from remortgaging properties plus preauthourised £1.5 mill for new cap ex.
If you have ever tried borrow money from banks you will know the degree of due diligence Coral would have been subject to.Banks aim to lend less than you have.
Debt ,even at current rates,is much cheaper than equity.

Hi charo - yes that was a positive getting £25k more than book value but I guess at least part of that £25k covered the selling agents fees and the legal fees as well.

So what do you reckon the net gain over book value was.

Still a profit is a profit and I guess it helped with the cash to pay the sums due that came from resources but did those resources include bank borrowings, as a resources is anything you can get your hands on, even if it is debt.

If it is you find out when the auditors have done their job and the accounts get published but let us hope that is not a resource that JG has used.

I cannot remember what the bank facilities the company has, maybe someone can remind me, to save on checking through all the RNS.

I like the words “Adjusted EBITDA” , now they have their money is the same effort going to be maintained to churn out an Adjusted profit.

Let’s hope when the auditors do the company accounts they adjust it in the same way.

Good Luck but I guess inflation also helped achieve higher numbers and played a favourable hand in the achievement.

Very much so hat - unfortunately for me, more down at present - but patience is the answer but the market in general I find very weak bar gamblers on news.

How long before it goes sub 14p, as the chart seems to be pointing in that direction at present.

All those tipsters seem to have got it wrong again.

With view to high interest rates there will be no shortage of opportunities but crucial that any additional bolt ons are made at a very decent price & Liquidators/Administrators to as busy as they have ever been right now -proving opportunities to acquire assets/revenues at pragmatic prices

Back in the value range again this morning.

I guess JG is having trouble finding new tack on businesses in the current credit squeeze climate.

LOL - E C - some of us are in JG's bracket and counting our days every time we wake up, we are the lucky ones but go to bed wondering if we may not one of those these days.

A religious friend once told me I should do as he does ever night before going to bed, he prays the same mantra day in day out - "Just one more day Lord" he is still around but hey so am I. :-)

While JG saved the company from extinction many years ago, and we were all grateful for his services, he has like many football teams going from hero getting the club up from the bottom division to league one, he then returned it to league two.

Then thankfully most of us that then invested more substantially at 4/5p were well rewarded but he has never returned us to league one, as the share price is still well below it's high water mark of around 24/25p.

He is no young chicken and his days are numbered like most of us, and one has to ask if he has stalled the engine once again, has he even got the fuel in the tank to take this rag bag of plastic converters to anywhere other than the graveyard over a long period of time, or see it broken back into little pieces once again.

Debt is not good at this time and there is no more cash from the sale of the businesses and site in Haydock left in the kitty. It all depends on earnings now.

Interesting what you say about a trading platform trading in the stock, as we may be seeing AI even being used on small AIM stocks I guess, and leaving traders with even more risk.

The company has at last turned the corner thanks to JG
However the market is a dreadful place at the moment big banks and their associated Hedge funds are shorting good little companies into the ground and scalping any increased share price
It’s not very safe to short a dividend paying company and we are immune to the worst excesses of this unregulated market
JG continues to buy stock and to make agreeable earnings enhancing Aquisitions
Provided that everyone hangs tight we will all benefit from this real sustainable growth .
My fear is of a predator taking us out on the cheap.
Look at the long term chart of Shield Therapeutics It’s just begun to turn around and it’s just been subject to an attempted take over right at its lowest share price and just as there is a glimmer of hope that it is turning the corner
I think the carpet baggers will fail in Shields case but these events worry me
I want to see Coral blossom into a profitable conglomerate under JG who is doing a wonderful job .

Very strange behaviour of share price
It would seem that it’s being used by a high frequency trading platform Buy at 16 or lower Sell at 17.50

So what's going on here - MM also playing games or what?

Whatever it is, it is not exciting times for holders.

Maybe AI will be able to replace JG. 😀
