What is disappointing is the lack of an update from the company.

By way of example...


They say the Basay permit may not be renewed (as at dec), and the lack any news to confirm it has been extended leads me to suspect it must have lapsed without renewal ... but why not confirm either way.

Also either the legal advice relied upon was sound, in which case why have we not been pushing this harder or the legal advice was wrong in which case why are we not considering action against the law firm(s).

The lack of update is infuriating at times.

You can roll stock at whatever price you want. Normally it's done the the bottom, mid price or top end of the spread.

Ek might just prefer to keep plenty of cash on account and if CDC don't multibag in the settlement period I presume he will settle.

Who knows?

"In the event the Company is unsuccessful with its efforts to renew the Basay exploration permit and/or secure approval of the Basay Deed of Assignment to Adanacex, it will review all available legal options. As such the Directors are of the view that no impairment of the Basay deferred mining costs is necessary at this time."



CDC's final results for 2012 are due by the end of June. Does anyone think that they may have been advised to take a prudent approach and make an impairment on Basay?

If they do though, it won't necessarily mean that they won't still win against the challenge to Basay, and it would be a non-cash item, so in my opinion any dip afterwards could be a good buying opportunity.

Why would an apparent multmillionaire like EK need to roll-over shares with a market value of a few tens of thousands of pounds, intead of settling?

actualy, thats a v. good question.

long rolls are normally carried out near the top end (offer) price so should have been more like 2.70p,not 2.1p which leads one to believe this was a short roll....which is more EKs style.

However, the first trade was at a lower sp,the second higher indicating a long roll.

I have never seen a long roll carried out at the bottom end before. Msybe it is a long roll and had to accept a terrible price or its a short roll with the times the wrong way round?

I don't know is the answer !
