Ask yourself where could proposed new directors be coming from that would also involve some dilution for the company. Think about it a little bit! Now ask yourself is O Sullivan by his current actions jeopardizing something here. What have CGNR shareholders been waiting on here for an eternity? Perhaps some here have got wind of what may be afoot and that's why they are not singing o Sullivan's praises so much!!

if conroy loses, his actions could be seen to be ultra vires
this could mean osullivan could chase conroy personally for the costs
how can AIM allow conroy appoint new directors when there is a case ongoing

It's kinda sad to see that Conroy is so greedy to retain his gravy train that he's forced Mr O'Sullivan to go to the High Court in a bid for fairness. This may well end up costing the shareholders more money. No surprise there as shareholders have not mattered a jot to conroy for 13 years or more - other than to fund this lifestyle company.

So o sullivan is now going to the high court....he has changed his mind again after accepting that his legal had messed up first time around, he now has changed his mind again and thinks he complied with the company's rules.

From SI......August 13 2017 6:00 PM

Conroy Gold's largest shareholder hopes to agree a settlement that would see the company's founder Professor Richard Conroy, remain on its board as chairman. A recent EGM came to a stormy conclusion after Professor Conroy ruled as invalid three resolutions brought by the shareholder, Patrick O'Sullivan, to appoint himself and two other new board members.
"Six earlier resolutions to remove sitting board members were passed by the same margins, so it is safe to assume the other three would have passed too," said O'Sullivan. Further resolutions to add three new directors were deemed void, with the company saying they did not comply with its constitution. O'Sullivan claimed that the democratic will of the majority of shareholders for change had not been recognised and is seeking a new EGM to propose the removal of Professor Conroy and managing director Maureen Jones.
"We hope that does not have to happen and that there might be dialogue and a negotiated settlement. But the fact is that a majority of shareholders voted for change," said O'Sullivan.
A spokesman for Professor Conroy said that an offer to "have discussions with Mr O'Sullivan and two other proposed directors was made after the last EGM."

the rent a crowd at the EGM bear no resemblance to the shareholder profile
Between them they probably had 1/2%
the company must have no money at all..so a funding is coming
Howe many of the crowd will participate
OS should get rid of all except the geologist
Keeping them in the company cannot work

how much cash can be left? anybody care to hazard a guess?

I presume that the directors who were forced out will have entitlements for a certain period of time? Anybody know for how long? Or are they simply gone with no entitlement to compensation for loss of office or some such nonsense??????

So O Sullivan told the Sunday Independent today that he now hopes Prof and Maureen Jones don't get removed from the board and that there might be dialogue and a negotiated settlement! O Sullivan realising he may have gone too far? Possible this could end up with a board of 7?Current 3 + S Conroy, S Fitz and J Jones + O Sullivan( if he is lucky)

So it turns out Tom W never checked the facts and wrote based on hear say! I believe he recently called himself a fraud buster an journalist.................that is actually funny......there is hope for us all yet.....I'm actually an astronaut you know! The rebel 800,000 votes comment was not true and made up. Turns out it was only a few and the were both for and against. Also turns out they had no knowledge or info until count over. The prof did not use a technicality of dubious legality to block 3 resolutions. o Sullivan has accepted he messed up and will not be pursuing this issue legally. The overwhelming majority of shareholders voted with the current board against the resolutions, however a minority of shareholders with a majority % shareholding won the day and deservedly so, that is democracy.......Tom W cannot grasp this! But he is simply wrong to say the majority of shareholders... certainly not journalism.
