For a bear squeeze one needs a reasonable volume of shorts existing?
I'm not sure that is the case.
IMHO there may be potential value here (at the right price), however there are a number of issues in my mind that are a hurdle apart from resource & reserve, economic feasibility etc.

Been taking a look at Conroy, now in effect under new stewardship, one has to say with mid cap and major gold producers bank accounts flushed with cash how can any of them ignore several 50km proven gold trends with an added bonus of early production.
Clearly Conroy needs a partner, in the current gold price environment it is only a matter of time before that partner is secured.
Goodness knows how this is only valued at £1m, there are companies with no resource, no JORC and dare one suggest very little potential sector listed on AIM valued at £2m-£5m

Nothing much available online now, the shares are poised for a technical bounce, the RSI is at a 2 year low but turning up, a retrace to 50 would move the share price materially.

They have let the share price crash from over 10p when Demir left to 2p now. In all that time they have given no update about whether they are making any progress. In fact they said it was very challenging for an explorer to get finance which sent the shares even further down. |

This looks materially oversold, with only 55m shares in issue and 40% held by long standing supporters the market cap is just £1.2m, it looks well placed for a strong rally therefore.
One whiff of a JV deal or some other corporate activity and the share price will look after itself.
Good luck trying to get a decent line of stock, the free float is minuscule. |

If the company says they are going to sign a JV at PDAC you just believe it? Early 2024 Professor Conroy said that if Demir were to leave the JV they had plenty of other people standing by. Turned out to be totally untrue. This company has history of over promising and under delivering. |

The idea that they will go to PDAC and sign a JV is totally unrealistic. Even if someone was interested at PDAC you're looking at 12-18 months of talks and due diligence. That's a long time for the shares to drift lower and lower. |

Heading for another placing I fear. Couldn't believe they did the last one at sub 5p. They lead investors to believe they had a queue of people wanting to do a JV but after 6 months waiting they did a placing at sub 5p without a hint of embarrassment. They didn't even get much money. They are probably running low already. What price will the next one be? |
